If your business could have a mascot, what would it be and why?
A wolf. The wolf symbolizes a complex hierarchy and collaboration, traits that mirror my coaching philosophy. In a pack, each member plays a vital role for the success of the group, and the alpha works in tandem with the Luna Wolf, who ensures the next generation thrives. Like wolves, organizations succeed when individuals support one another, share knowledge, and communicate effectively.
What strategies do you employ to maintain a healthy work-life balance while running your own business?
I practice regular exercise, meditation, and work sprints of no more than 90 minutes to maintain high energy and focus. Taking breaks, whether it’s a walk, creative activity, or simply stepping away from screens, helps recharge and maintain productivity.
When faced with unexpected detours on your business path, how do you pivot with grace and resilience, showing fellow women entrepreneurs the way forward?
I view detours as opportunities to reassess, gain perspective, and take new directions. By questioning assumptions and validating them with trusted advisors, I can pivot strategically. Action is key to overcoming fear and moving forward.
How do you measure the success of your business beyond financial metrics, such as customer satisfaction or community engagement?
Client satisfaction is paramount. I gauge it through feedback surveys, direct communication, repeat engagements, and referrals. These indicators reflect not only the effectiveness of our programs but also the quality of the relationships we build with our clients.
Can you share a memorable moment where you witnessed significant growth or transformation in your business, illustrating the impact of your services/products?
During a team event, a participant was inspired to engage her organization in my leadership challenge program. The subsequent leadership development efforts resulted in a dramatic increase in trust, with organizational survey scores on leadership trust improving from 30% to over 81% in just one year.
What role do you believe mentorship plays in the success of small businesses, and how have mentors influenced your own entrepreneurial journey?
Mentorship is crucial as it provides valuable perspectives and guidance that small business owners might not see on their own. Mentors help refine strategies and offer new approaches that can be game-changing. They have been instrumental in my entrepreneurial journey, helping me navigate challenges with new insights and confidence.
What’s your work all about, and how does it make a difference in the world?
I design customized leadership development programs that integrate organizational psychology, neuroscience, and positive psychology to foster long-term behavioral change. My initiatives promote a positive, inclusive work environment that enhances employee engagement, collaboration, and innovation. I work with leaders, teams, and organizations globally to build resilience and adapt to dynamic business environments, ensuring sustainable growth and impact.
