Alison Sizer: Guiding Women Entrepreneurs Toward Clarity and Empowerment

Alison Sizer

Alison Sizer’s journey is one of transformation, resilience, and purpose. After years of thriving in Fortune 100 and 500 corporations, including a pivotal role at Apple where she expanded global markets, she found her true calling in entrepreneurship. Today, Alison advises and empowers women-led startups, particularly in the health, wellness, and lifestyle industries, helping founders turn ideas into thriving ventures. Humans of Fuzia is proud to feature Alison’s story as part of our mission to highlight voices shaping a more inclusive and equitable world. Her journey is an inspiring reminder to our 5 million community members that women can redefine leadership and success on their own terms.

Q: Can you tell us about your transition from corporate life into entrepreneurship?
Alison: I’ve had multiple journeys as an entrepreneur. While working in corporate roles for global brands, including Apple, I often felt like an “intrapreneur” — constantly looking for innovative ways to optimize business, develop new products, and explore new markets. But I also felt limited by the red tape and slower pace of corporate life. Eventually, I decided to start my own consulting business, advising startups and working with accelerators, venture capital firms, and venture studios. Over time, I found my true passion in supporting women entrepreneurs — helping them gain clarity, build confidence, and execute their ideas.

Q: What drives you to work so closely with women founders?
Alison: Being a woman myself, I deeply understand the challenges women face in entrepreneurship. I’ve met so many women with brilliant ideas who just need support, guidance, or a sounding board to move forward. I’ve had the privilege of advising over 75 early-stage startups, and I’ve seen how transformative it can be when women are empowered to believe in themselves and their vision.

Q: Are you currently working solo, or do you have a team supporting you?
Alison: At the moment, I’m a solopreneur. I’ve explored the idea of partnering with other agencies or building a team, but right now, I enjoy the independence and direct impact I can create with my clients.

Q: Client acquisition is often a big challenge for solopreneurs. What has worked for you?
Alison: For me, most opportunities have come through networking — whether through startup accelerators, venture studios, or simply warm introductions. I also make use of cold outreach when necessary, but I always try to find a genuine connection first. Coaching marketplaces and innovation ecosystems have also been great ways to connect with startups who need support but may not yet be ready for large consulting fees.

Q: What new projects or initiatives are you currently working on?
Alison: Alongside advising entrepreneurs, I’ve recently become a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Health and balance are such critical parts of women’s lives, and I’m launching a side business dedicated to empowering women to live healthier, more balanced lives. It feels like a natural extension of my mission to support women — not just in their professional journeys, but also in their personal well-being. I’m also exploring a product-based business idea of my own, though that’s still in the works.

Q: Who do you typically work with, and what kinds of businesses do you support?
Alison: Most of my clients are women entrepreneurs in the health, wellness, and lifestyle sectors. That includes everything from digital health and women’s health startups to wellness marketplaces and even sustainable fashion brands. For example, I’ve helped founders with go-to-market strategy, customer acquisition, partnership development, and marketing. While I’ve worked with accelerators and venture studios in the past, I’m now focusing more directly on supporting entrepreneurs themselves.

“Women have incredible ideas and untapped potential — sometimes all they need is clarity, encouragement, and the belief that they can do it. My mission is to help bring those ideas to life.”
