Humans of Fuzia in conversation with (Akansha Swami)
What’s a little backstory about you — what’s shaped who you are today?
I completed my graduation in Economics from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University, which gave me a strong analytical foundation and sharpened my learning abilities. But what truly shaped me was stepping into the professional world.

Joining Fuzia as an intern right after graduation was a turning point. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me valuable lessons in adaptability, communication, and handling real-world challenges. Every experience since then has helped me grow, become more confident, stay curious, and remain committed to continuous learning.

Working alongside inspiring individuals and learning something new every day keeps me motivated.

What’s a value you live by every day — and is there a childhood memory connected to it?
Gratitude.
Being thankful for what I have and finding joy in the little things — whether it’s time with family, small wins at work, or quiet moments alone — has always been important to me.

Even as a child, I was taught to be content and humble, to never take anything for granted. That value stuck with me, and today, it keeps me grounded. I believe real happiness begins when you start appreciating what you already have.

What’s something you’ve done (at work or in life) that you’re really proud of?
At work, I’m proud of starting as a marketing intern at Fuzia and gradually growing into a full-time role, and now getting promoted. It’s been a journey of learning, trying, making mistakes, improving, and showing up every day with dedication.

In life, I’m currently pursuing my MBA while managing work and still making time for the people who matter. Balancing studies, professional growth, and personal life isn’t always easy, but it’s something I’m proud of because balance for me is key.

In what ways has being part of Fuzia impacted your personal or professional life?
Personally, Fuzia has helped me learn the importance of time management, consistency, and showing up every day with a learner’s mindset.

Professionally, it’s been a space of endless opportunities — whether it’s trying new things, facing challenges, or being part of impactful work. The support and encouragement I receive from the team have played a big role in my growth. I genuinely feel lucky to work in an environment that values learning, team spirit, and individual progress.

What message would you give to someone who wants to be in your kind of role?
If someone wants to step into a role like mine, I’d say: be open, be consistent, and stay curious.

This role isn’t just about completing tasks — it’s about learning something new every day, stepping out of your comfort zone, and growing with every challenge.
If you’re sincere and willing to adapt, you’ll not only succeed, but you’ll enjoy the journey along the way.

Akansha reminds us that you don’t need to have it all figured out—you just need to show up with the right attitude and a heart ready to grow.
