Can you briefly introduce yourself to our community and share what inspired you to begin your current initiative and coaching journey?
If I should use several words to describe myself, those would be: a mother, partner, friend, and lifelong learner. My coaching journey began in 2014 with a desire to enhance my work in corporate settings and as a youth career counselor. Over time, I fell in love with coaching, earning certifications including ICF ACC, PCC and MCC, EMCC Senior Practitioner and Supervisor, and a Master Executive Coach from the Association for Coaching. Supporting women’s development inspires me, and belonging to different communities, volunteering across various fields continues to fuel my passion for meaningful causes.
What were your early years like? Could you share a bit about your life before you began your coaching journey?
I was always driven by learning and earned degrees in International Business and HR, Training, and Development. Alongside my studies, I volunteered in youth NGOs, organized career fairs, and supported cultural and educational festivals. My early HR role in a large international corporation strengthened my values and commitment to meaningful work, eventually leading me toward coaching.
Was there any turning point in your life that changed your journey?
Yes, a significant turning point came during my pregnancy and maternity leave. I pursued my ACC and PCC credentials, which sparked tremendous growth. Becoming a mother reshaped my priorities and gave me the courage to leave a secure job for a more fulfilling path. This led me to freelancing, mentoring in coaching schools, and embracing volunteer work that aligns with my values. And now — as I become a mother for the second time, having received two master-level coach designations, started my own small business, and created my reflective tool Fusion Reflections — I can confirm it even more.
Everyone faces unique challenges when starting an entrepreneurial journey. What difficulties did you face, and how did you overcome them?
For me, the challenge wasn’t self-doubt but rather explaining and defending my decision to leave stability for uncertainty. My focus was on whose opinions truly mattered. Open conversations with loved ones and unconditional support from my partner gave me the confidence to move forward.
What impact do you feel you have created so far, and what are your goals for the future?
I believe I’ve created impact by offering spaces for meaningful conversations where people can reflect and recognize their own thinking. Receiving frequent feedback about the inspiration I bring to people’s lives has confirmed this. Looking ahead, I want to deepen my supervision practice, expand my business, and design group and individual programs that integrate nature and reflection.
What changes would you like to see in the world if given the opportunity?
I’d like to see a world where people are empowered to recognize their strengths and contributions. A world where individuals pause to reflect, step out of busy routines, and truly appreciate the difference they can make — socially and ecologically. And a world where individuals are not afraid to stand up for themselves, honor what is important to them, protect their boundaries, and nurture their well-being.
What are your thoughts on women’s leadership today?
I’ve seen women thrive in leadership positions, yet I notice many must work twice as hard while balancing personal responsibilities. I believe we need to create more human-centered environments where well-being and growth are supported, enabling women to thrive without compromising balance.
What message would you like to share with our young women leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs?
Instead of one-size-fits-all advice, I invite them to reflect on meaningful questions like: What matters most right now? What changes would you like to see? Who do you want to become? Small, intentional steps with awareness and support can create big transformations.
“Taking time for reflection is a purposeful pause — it slows us down just enough to move forward more clearly and intentionally.” – Adrijana Milosavljević
