Scott Eddy’s entrepreneurial journey reflects a dynamic fusion of passion, innovation, and expertise, driving him to become a leading influencer in the hospitality industry.


After 10 years in investment banking, Scott moved overseas and lived in Europe and Asia for 17 years. While living in Bangkok, he started the first digital agency in Asia. The agency became the region’s “go-to” agency and remained the biggest for five years. Now, Scott travels full-time while teaching brands how to turn storytelling into ROI for the hospitality industry. He is also the TV host for the travel series on Lifetime Television called Video Globetrotter.


Could you describe your initiative/startup’s purpose and vision and how it benefits its target audience?
My initiative focuses on empowering the hospitality industry with innovative digital marketing strategies tailored to drive growth, enhance guest experiences, and elevate brand visibility. Traveling full-time between hotels and cruise ships gives me a unique insider perspective, allowing me to create practical, impactful solutions that resonate with industry leaders and their guests.


As far as entrepreneurship is concerned, your journey is quite inspiring. What are some of your most significant accomplishments and how did you achieve them?
My entrepreneurial journey has been a mix of passion, persistence, and adaptability. Some of my most significant accomplishments include:

  1. Becoming a Recognized Industry Leader
    I’m honored to be ranked #11 in the hospitality world as an influencer, which is a testament to the value I bring to the industry. Achieving this required consistent innovation, staying ahead of trends, and building authentic connections within the hospitality and travel community.
  2. Developing High-Impact Content Strategies
    I’ve successfully helped hotels, resorts, and destinations refine their social media and content strategies, driving both engagement and profitability. A highlight was integrating the rich cultural branding of Jamaica into a campaign for S Hotel Jamaica, blending storytelling with visual content to create a compelling narrative.
  3. Establishing a Comprehensive Service Offering
    Partnering with a top hospitality photographer, I’ve been able to offer full-service content creation, including F&B photoshoots, property photography, and drone videography. This holistic approach has helped properties bring their brands to life visually and differentiate themselves in a competitive market.
  4. Creating Educational and Engaging Platforms
    Whether through speaking at major hospitality conferences—like my panel on “The Sensory Experience & the Impact on Profitability”—or sharing insights on social media, I’ve built a reputation for delivering tactical, actionable advice that resonates with my audience.

Each of these accomplishments was achieved through a combination of leveraging my travel experience, maintaining a learner’s mindset, and collaborating with passionate professionals who share my vision. In what ways has your life changed since you began your entrepreneurial journey?
My life has changed in so many ways since starting my entrepreneurial journey—it’s been transformative both personally and professionally.

  1. A Deeper Connection to the Hospitality Industry
    Living full-time between hotels and cruise ships has given me a unique perspective on the industry I serve. It’s no longer just a job; it’s a lifestyle. I’ve gained an insider’s understanding of how hospitality works from the ground up, which allows me to create strategies that truly resonate.
  2. Freedom and Flexibility
    Entrepreneurship has granted me the freedom to travel the world and shape my career on my terms. While it’s not without challenges, being able to wake up in a different city or on a cruise ship deck and still be productive is a dream I’ve turned into reality.
  3. Impacting Others
    One of the most fulfilling changes has been the ability to make a tangible difference in the hospitality industry. Whether helping a hotel increase direct bookings through social media or inspiring industry professionals to rethink their marketing strategies, I’ve realized the ripple effect of my work on people and businesses.
