Can you share your story — how did you end up where you are today?
I come from a background of constant learning and unlearning. With a degree in Media Science, I explored multiple paths — from working in marketing at Unacademy to becoming a Business Development Manager in the digital marketing world. My journey wasn’t linear. I experimented, failed, succeeded, and redefined success for myself.
What kept me going was my clarity: I wanted a career that respected my values, challenged my skills, and gave me the freedom to grow. That mindset brought me to where I am today — combining business with purpose, working remotely, and still striving to improve myself every day.
What’s a value you live by every day — and is there a childhood memory connected to it?
“Sabr” — patience with purpose.
As a child, I watched my mother calmly hold the family together through difficult times without ever losing her faith or dignity. One particular memory stands out: we were facing financial difficulties, but instead of complaining, she focused on what we had and encouraged us to stay grounded. That strength in silence stuck with me.
Today, whether it’s dealing with work pressure or personal struggles, I remind myself to be patient — not passively, but with action and trust in Allah’s plan.
What’s a moment that made you feel really proud of yourself?
The moment I resigned from a mentally taxing job to prioritize my mental health and Islamic studies was a turning point. It wasn’t an easy decision, especially as a woman in a competitive field, but I chose myself over anxiety, peace over pressure.
I realized strength doesn’t always look like endurance — sometimes it looks like walking away to protect your soul. That decision helped me reclaim my time, my energy, and my direction.
How has being at Fuzia made a difference in your life?
Fuzia helped me realize that my story matters. It gave me a platform to connect, learn, and amplify not just my voice but the voices of women around me.
It showed me that professional growth doesn’t require you to give up your identity — rather, it should celebrate it. Fuzia’s inclusive environment gave me the confidence to show up fully — as a woman, and as a professional.
What message would you give to someone who wants to be in your kind of role?
Don’t chase roles — chase skills and growth. Learn to sell value, not just services. Master communication, time management, and most importantly, your intention.
If you want to grow in business development or marketing, start by becoming someone people trust — then back that trust with results. And always remember: no job is worth your peace or your principles. Hold onto your values tighter than your resume.
“Your career is not just about what you earn, but about who you become in the process. Choose growth, choose integrity, choose peace.”
