What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your Entrepreneur journey/venture/initiative.
Growing up in the Soviet Union provided a unique start to my entrepreneurial journey. From a young age, I was involved in a world of stark contrasts and rapid changes, witnessing the fall of old systems and the rise of new ones. My life has been a continuous entrepreneurial adventure, shaped by navigating diverse countries and their evolving technologies. Each move and experience—whether adapting to different cultures or witnessing the early days of technological revolutions—has been part of a grander plan to lead a meaningful life. This journey, rich with diverse experiences, laid the foundation for my ventures and continues to inspire my drive for innovation.
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”
Although my mother dreamed of me becoming a medical doctor, my interests were rooted in technology, history, and human behaviour. It was later in my career that I gradually entered the healthcare field and discovered a significant gap: while clinical care was well-covered, the connectivity and education between healthcare professionals and the broader industry were often fragmented and inefficient. In a time of rapid digital and AI advancements, this gap in effective communication stood out. Driven by a passion to improve these crucial but overlooked areas, I was inspired to create solutions that enhance how professionals connect, share knowledge, and navigate the evolving landscape of healthcare.
Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?
In my current role at Medentee, I’m focused on bridging gaps in communication within the medical world. The initiative aims to create a comprehensive system that enhances knowledge sharing, education, and professional networking, addressing inefficiencies and fragmentation. For healthcare professionals, this means a powerful tool that connects them with industry insights and global networks. By streamlining non-clinical communication, the goal is to save time and reduce the complexity of navigating new technologies, allowing professionals to concentrate on patient care and stay up-to-date with advancements. This approach is designed to make their work more efficient and their knowledge more robust, thus improving their ability to treat patients effectively.
Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?
Every step in a journey is an achievement, from overcoming daily challenges to implementing creative solutions and learning from mistakes. These small milestones collectively drive the success of a larger project. I take pride in the process itself, finding fulfillment in making a meaningful impact every day. Specifically, with Medentee, the greatest accomplishment is building a dedicated and inspiring team that shares this vision. Seeing the early results and recognising that our work is truly needed and can improve healthcare is incredibly rewarding. It’s gratifying to know that our efforts are contributing to a better and more connected healthcare system.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
In today’s world, where opportunities are endless and change is constant, young women entrepreneurs have a special chance to lead and innovate. Instead of seeing these changes as problems, view them as opportunities to make a real impact.
The market is full of separate products, but what we really need are solutions that work together and tackle larger issues. Instead of just adding more items, focus on creating systems that connect the dots and simplify processes.
Everyone, no matter their background, has the power to drive change. By approaching new challenges with creativity and a positive attitude, we can turn obstacles into opportunities and build a more connected and effective future. This mindset will help us adapt and make a meaningful difference.
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
Women today are a powerful and growing force in workplaces around the world, working side by side with their male peers. The flexibility of modern work options, whether remote or in-office, means that women can now tailor their work environments to fit their personal needs and circumstances, breaking through traditional limitations.
Women excel in multitasking and emotional intelligence—skills that are highly valued in today’s fast-paced world. Their ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining empathy and insight gives them a significant advantage.
The potential for women to drive progress is limitless. They’re not just bringing new life into the world but are also making transformative contributions to our rapidly evolving society. With boundless opportunities available, there are no barriers to what women can achieve. Their role in shaping the future is both vital and inspiring.
