Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?
I was a woman struggling to find what felt right for me in a field that was created by white men for white men to sell to white men. I love sales because I love helping people. I knew that the profession could be more inclusive and I wanted to be a part of that change.
Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
Sales Team Builder is a consulting company. 60% of Founders fail when they move to a sales-led model. I create repeatable processes and work with the existing sales team to build a playbook they will actually use. If fractional sales leadership isn’t in the cards, I also host an Interactive Coaching Workshop Series. It’s a series of fun, collaborative sessions where I co-create scripts, templates and frameworks that the sales team can use today.
What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?
The response to launching Sales Team Builder as a full-time Founder has been incredible. As a solopreneur, it’s been a privilege to get to be selective in choosing to work with clients who share my values and my vision for the future of sales.
How has your life changed because of your venture?
I only launched on April 1, 2022, so I’m just a few months in, but the biggest change I’ve noticed is what it feels like to own my time. Until I was the sole owner of my time, I didn’t realize how big of a deal it would be to examine what good looked for me. The result has been blocking Mondays & Fridays for deep work while keeping Tuesday – Thursday packed full of high-energy client engagements, coffee connections, and content recordings. I have more energy & focus, I can feel layers of burnout shedding away and I get to show up for my clients, family and friends in a way that’s not been mentally/emotionally possible for years.
