What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your professional journey/venture/initiative and what inspired you to choose this career.
After working for almost two decades in the corporate world in training and development key roles I realized my gift for transforming the mindset of my team, people in my inner circle for good from problem to solution by resolving their inner conflicts in personal or professional life. So, I quit my job as AVP in VLCC and started investing in myself to transition into coaching to help millions transform their relationship with themselves to have more fulfilled lives.
Was there any turning point in your life that changed your journey? If so, what was it? Please tell us the backstory behind it.
I come with corporate experience largely in the Beauty & Wellness industry which is dominated with women. I was approachable, friendly with my teams. They would come and confide in me, and I was able to shift their perspective into positivity from limiting belief. As a kid I had an interest in spirituality and science. THat made me read and explore human behavior, mind, patterns. I could recognise the limiting thought and intuitively help them.I realised relationship with family/partner was the key factor for them to take major life decisions. I could identify with some of the challenges in my life too. I decided to quit my job, pursue my gift and passion to help people live love filled joyous lives rediscovering love for themselves
Tell us about your goals, interests, and role models.
My goal is to set up a school for training women to become financially independent in the field of beauty, wellness, and coaching so they don’t have to remain stuck in toxic relationships. I love to read about science, spirituality, human behaviors, travel, explore new cultures, cuisines, I find cooking and feeding very therapeutic. As a role model I love the works of Mr Ram Verma who is transforming lives through NLP , Tony Robbins , Shirzad Chamine , Lisa Nicolas, Marisa Peer, Vishen and so on. Each one of them is leaving their footprints in reshaping the lives of people towards happiness, joy, abundance. They are not only creating impacts on individuals but the society as a collective.
Everyone has their own set of challenges when starting an entrepreneurial journey. Still, the most essential part for others to learn is how you deal with those. Would you like to share with us your challenges and your coping mechanisms?
It was challenging to quit a secure leadership role to start from the beginning to pursue my passion in an unknown domain of coaching. The process of unlearning learning and starting from root level and learning the industry practice, tricks of the trade, building credibility, delivering results in bringing the transformation in someone’s life are some of the stepping and building blocks of my entrepreneurial journey. On the technical front, managing operations, building the right systems, sales, testing and trying marketing strategies, are some of the challenges and key learnings when you enter into an entrepreneurial journey. The key learning, I would say is being resourceful to have enough resources to begin your journey. It is a huge responsibility to be the torch bearer in someone’s journey of transformation. I feel a lot of gratitude for everyone who has been a part of my journey so far. The happy faces and fulfilled lives of my clients energize me to do more of what I do.
What impact do you feel you have been able to create with your work so far and how would you want to grow in the next few years?
I have been able to transform individual lives globally who had been stuck in toxic or painful relationships or were going through break up/ divorce. They have been able to overcome fear, create a new future and some have been inspired by my work to become coaches. I want to expand into a school for skilling women in coaching, wellness, beauty, yoga domains to become financially independent to have a secure future financially to move out from unhappy relationships.
While the global pandemic of COVID-19 is associated primarily with adversities, it has also brought about a true boom in startups, with successful entrepreneurship in many countries. The pandemic has impacted all of us in one way or another. Would you like to share your experience on a personal and professional level?
When covid stuck I was in the official set up stage of my newly found coaching business. I was lost as to where to begin as we knew the offline working model of workshops, corporate training. With the world coming to a halt it was not easy for me to figure out the strategy but I started connecting with people through social media and did a lot of free sessions to support them emotionally and mentally. On the brighter side it opened up pathways to international markets and I ventured into international coaching with ease which might have been challenging otherwise. Covid shrunk the world and taught us to trust, support each other. Personally, I was in a good space as I meditated that kept me focused, I travelled the world on zoom and google meet, I listened to stories from all across the world, emotionally uplifted people. I was good. I would say if your mind is relaxed no matter what the situation is you are able to handle it but if your inner chatter is louder than the voices outside then you have some tough inner work to do.
Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?
I enhanced my skills further, made long term relationships with coaches globally, received awards from Lead India, Cera global Award for an inspiring entrepreneurial idea.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
If in doubt, then get yourself a coach to redirect you on the path of success and accountability. Never forget why you started. Nothing is a waste of time; it is learning to become sharper intellectually to handle life.
What’s the most important thing you have learned in your personal life and professional journey? What is your personal motto in life?
I would say that no matter where you are, with who you are, create your identity and be financially free. Don’t be afraid to speak your truth and take action and make that choice that you fear the most. Make uncertainty your value to grow in life. My personal motto is Eat,Pray,Love and travel
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women’s leadership today?
I would not look at this question from gender bias or from the unspoken comparison of the superior sex or the inferior sex. I would say Women are born leaders. Their mental and physical make up is for creation, The universe is feminine in nature. Look at the beauty, mysteries, love, and co-creation of this beautiful world. Women will always create greater success in any role, at any place. Also, Once I watched an interview, I can’t recall the speaker where she said if you want to get the task done in a big organization then ask a woman.
With your grit and determination, you are making a considerable impact, breaking through, and serving as role models for many budding entrepreneurs. What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?
There will be times when it might look as if you are failing, not reaching your desired goal. That will be the time when you will be needing your support, belief more than any outside validation. Beg, borrow or steal but get a coach to show you the path and cut down the learning curve.
