Volker Ballueder: Redefining Success Through Purpose, Leadership, and Inner Growth

Volker Ballueder

From leading global revenue teams to helping people break through deeply rooted personal barriers, Volker Ballueder’s journey is a powerful reminder that true leadership begins within. Featured on Humans of Fuzia for his purpose-driven path, Volker represents a rare blend of business acumen and human-centered transformation—an approach that deeply resonates with our global community working toward empathy, equality, and shared success.

Q. Volker, what inspired the start of your professional journey?
I began my career over 20 years ago in telemarketing—100 calls a day, two-hour call blocks. Over time, I worked my way up to leadership roles, becoming a Chief Revenue Officer responsible for large teams and significant revenue. Along the way, I experienced seven redundancies. The final one, driven largely by corporate politics, became a turning point. I decided to step away and build my own path through consulting and coaching.

Q. How did your work evolve into coaching and psychotherapy?
While coaching helps people move forward, I realized many were held back by deep personal roadblocks—often childhood trauma or attachment issues. I wanted to be properly trained to help people resolve those root causes. That’s when I became a hypnopsychotherapist. Today, I work both as a leadership coach and therapist, helping people grow professionally and personally.

Q. What were some challenges during your transition to entrepreneurship?
Running your own business is tough. One constant challenge is ensuring steady work. Networking became critical—building partnerships, reaching out through LinkedIn, attending industry events, and gaining the right qualifications. The more people know you, the more opportunities naturally arise.

Q. What milestones make you most proud?
Of course, good financial years matter. But what truly drives me is seeing people change. Watching leaders grow into their roles, seeing individuals remove internal blocks, or even helping someone casually through a conversation that later changes their path—that’s what success feels like to me.

Q. Are you currently a solopreneur?
Yes, it’s just me at the moment—no team. It means long hours and a lot of grind, but it also gives me full ownership of my work.

Q. What are your views on women in leadership today?
We absolutely need more women in leadership. When you look at emotional intelligence, empathy, and compassionate leadership—women often score higher. Leadership should reflect diversity in every form. Gender should never influence opportunity or pay. People should be compensated purely for their capability and contribution.

Q. What message would you like to share with future women leaders and entrepreneurs?
Keep fighting. Trust the process. Believe in your future even when things feel uncertain. Don’t let anyone define your limits. Show up daily, improve consistently, and the rewards will follow.

Q. What does success mean to you personally and professionally?
Success has two sides. Financial stability matters—it supports life and family. But real success is personal fulfillment. For me, it’s about making a difference, inspiring others, and passing on knowledge to newer founders and leaders.

“Make it a habit to improve daily—and you’ll reap the rewards over time.”
