Vivian Mendez is more than an executive coach—she’s a catalyst for transformation. With a deep-rooted passion for helping others, she empowers mid to senior-level professionals across the globe to lead with clarity, purpose, and resilience. Vivian’s journey is one of quiet strength, grounded in self-awareness and the determination to uplift others, especially women navigating leadership roles. Through her story, Humans of Fuzia celebrates the spirit of empowerment and courage, reminding our 5 million-strong community that true leadership begins when we choose to face fear and move forward anyway. At Fuzia, we believe in He-for-She and She-for-She—and Vivian’s voice is a shining example of that mission in motion.
What inspired you to become an executive coach?
It started from a young age—observing people’s perceived limitations and wanting to help. Over time, I refined this instinct through education and experience, eventually applying it to corporate and green companies. For me, it’s a way to move the world forward, one leader at a time.
Who are your clients, and where are they based?
I work with clients globally, though many are from the U.S. I’ve also worked with people in the U.K. and Dubai. My clients are mostly mid to senior-level executives—some come with teams, others seek individual coaching.
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your journey—or that you’ve seen other women face?
One major challenge for women is transitioning into leadership roles—especially adjusting their communication to be concise and impactful in high-level discussions. Personally, my biggest challenge has been finding balance. Learning to remain calm and not view everything as a mountain of tasks has been a journey. I now approach each day knowing that if I tackle the most important things, I’ve won that day.
What’s your view on women empowerment and leadership development?
Whatever you fear—do it. Empowerment lies on the other side of fear. Leadership development is crucial because women have unique strengths to offer. We need to push past imposter syndrome and follow what our gut tells us we’re meant to do. Women deserve to be in leadership roles—and we need more examples of that becoming the norm.
What short-term goals are you working on right now?
I have two major goals for the year: one is to reach a financial target of 18K/month, and the other is to deliver a TED Talk. I don’t know the exact topic yet, but I want it to be something impactful. I’m also exploring opportunities to connect my coaching work with the tech world through platforms like Leap Innovations.
Outside of work, what are you passionate about?
I genuinely love helping people—it’s cliché but true. I also enjoy reading; it’s something that grounds me. And when I get the chance, I love being active—whether it’s jet skiing or just being on the water.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs and women aspiring to lead?
If you’re unsure about a decision, close your eyes and listen to your gut. It knows.
“Force yourself, no matter what it takes—on the other side of fear is empowerment.”
