Transforming Lives Through Holistic Health: An Interview with Abeer Hassan

Abeer Hassan is an integrative Nutrition and Health Coach, originally from Lebanon and currently residing in the UAE. She helps people transform into better versions of themselves by improving their health through changes in habits, nutrition, and lifestyle. Having faced numerous challenges, from personal losses and failures to health issues and gut problems, she firmly believes in the power of learning, acceptance, and change. Abeer embraces holistic health, addressing the mind, body, soul, and emotions. She supports individuals in achieving their health goals with the right mindset, discipline, consistency, and skills, always encouraging them to embrace life’s possibilities.

Could you elaborate on the nature of your business, highlighting its purpose and the ways it benefits people?

As a nutrition and health coach, I help my clients identify the root cause of their health issues rather than just addressing symptoms. Together, we explore their body’s needs, discover what works best for them, and develop healthier habits. I support clients in managing stress, improving gut health, and achieving weight management goals. Many of my clients have successfully lost weight and gained a deeper understanding of their overall well-being. My approach is based on four pillars of health: mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

What inspired you to start your journey as a coach and entrepreneur? Were there any specific events, challenges, or people that motivated you to take this path?

My journey began when I was pregnant with my daughter. Understanding the negative impact of sugar on children’s health, I decided to create a “sugar-free home.” This led me to explore and develop healthy recipes, offering alternatives to refined sugar. Later, I pursued my studies in nutrition and health coaching because I was passionate about helping others transform their lives. Having personally healed from gut issues and other health challenges, I wanted to guide others on their own health journeys.

Looking back at the beginning of your career, what were the major challenges you faced when establishing yourself as a leader/coach? How did you overcome those obstacles?

One of the challenges I faced was that my profession is not widely recognized. Many people assume that I only provide nutrition advice, but my work goes far beyond that. Additionally, because I focus on preventive medicine, some clients expect quick-fix solutions rather than long-term strategies. To overcome these challenges, I conduct workshops to raise awareness about health coaching and its benefits, helping people understand the value of natural and sustainable health solutions.

Would you like to share any remarkable achievements?

I am particularly proud that my daughter was my first client. Her transformation gave many mothers the confidence that they, too, can instill healthy habits in their children while keeping them happy and well-nourished.

Women are a growing force in workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. What are your thoughts on women in leadership today?

Women are being presented with more opportunities to grow and establish themselves as powerful leaders and business partners alongside men. I am proud of every successful woman out there. However, I believe that maintaining open communication between men and women is essential. Collaboration is key to mutual growth and success.

What message or advice would you have for future women leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs?

For a woman to reach her goals and grow in any field, she needs passion. Passion will keep you going when things get tough and will empower you when you are tired. Additionally, perseverance and consistency are crucial. Believe in yourself, and you will thrive!
