Tom Libby

For Tom Libby, success isn’t just about business—it’s about being helpful. With decades of leadership experience and three thriving ventures to his name, Tom has dedicated his career to empowering entrepreneurs, sales professionals, and marketers to work better together. As the founder of Smarketing CONNECT, GrowthCraft, and co-founder of Diversified Sales Solutions, Tom is passionate about breaking silos, building collaboration, and simplifying the entrepreneurial journey. His mission? To create communities where experts support each other, businesses grow faster, and no one feels alone in their journey. At Humans of Fuzia, we celebrate Tom’s vision, his belief in human potential, and his drive to foster impact through collaboration.

Tom, how would you describe yourself to our readers?
I like to keep it simple: I just love being helpful. Whether it’s in business, with my family, or with friends, I’m always the person people call when they need support—literally, even for things like moving furniture! That desire to help naturally led me into sales and marketing. Helping companies solve revenue challenges through better sales and marketing strategies is one of the most effective ways I can make a difference.

Tell us about your ventures—Smarketing CONNECT, GrowthCraft, and your broader work.
My time is divided into three buckets. First, Smarketing CONNECT is a community I built for sales and marketing consultants. Our philosophy is simple: we’re stronger together than apart. Instead of just exchanging referrals, sales and marketing experts collaborate directly to deliver complete solutions to clients. It’s about partnerships, shared best practices, and building confidence.

Second, I work as a fractional Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for organizations. I stay at the strategic level while bringing in specialists from Smarketing CONNECT to handle tactical execution—social media, content, sales training, you name it.

Lastly, GrowthCraft is a startup community designed to support first-time entrepreneurs. Many founders feel overwhelmed wearing so many hats—GrowthCraft reduces that stress. We provide education, mentorship, and resources to help them grow, whether they need help with funding, go-to-market strategies, or simply learning how to pitch themselves.

Is there a specific niche you focus on?
For my personal client work, I tend to focus on technology, software, and SaaS businesses. But Smarketing CONNECT welcomes any sales and marketing professionals who want to learn, grow, and collaborate. GrowthCraft is completely industry-agnostic—we’ve helped startups in tech, life sciences, products, services, and more. With our 14 experienced advisors, there’s expertise for every industry.

What challenges do you face in your work?
The biggest challenge is simply getting people to ask for help. Many entrepreneurs or professionals struggle silently, thinking they have to figure everything out alone. I want people to know that no matter the problem, I can help solve it—or I know someone in my network who can. My goal is to always be remembered as someone willing to help, no matter the challenge.

What are your short-term plans for this year and 2025?
My main goal is growing GrowthCraft. We currently have around 100 startups, and I’d love to double that by year-end. The more startups we bring in, the more we can help founders succeed and reduce the overwhelming stress that comes with launching a business.

What motivational message would you like to share with entrepreneurs, especially women?
I recently wrote a book called The Interpretation of Quotes for Business Success, focusing on understanding why certain quotes truly resonate with us. One of my favorites is Henry Ford’s: “Whether you think you can or whether you think you cannot, you’re right.” But it’s not just about mindset—it’s about clarity, determination, and action.

For women entrepreneurs—and everyone, really—my message is this: Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do. Believe in yourself, deeply understand your motivation, and go after your goals. There may be obstacles, but faith in yourself is the biggest motivator. You can accomplish anything you set your mind to—just attack it with confidence and determination.

“You’re never alone in business—the right community, collaboration, and mindset can solve any challenge.”
