Meet Todd McKnight—a seasoned entrepreneur, educator, and passionate advocate for personal development. With a journey spanning over three decades, Todd has worn many hats—from IT development and coaching to language education and mindset transformation. His story reflects resilience, constant learning, and a desire to help others grow. At Humans of Fuzia, we are proud to feature Todd’s inspiring journey as part of our mission to amplify voices making a difference. Our global community of 5 million believes in empowering one another—be it through She for She or He for She—and Todd’s story is a testament to how mindset, gratitude, and innovation can create meaningful change.
Tell us a little about your journey, Todd. How did it all begin?
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit—it’s been part of my nature from the beginning. I officially became an entrepreneur in 1991, but long before that, I was driven to create, solve problems, and help others. My background is deeply rooted in IT—I’ve done everything from development to hardware, software management, and training. Interestingly, no matter where I worked or what I did, I always found myself teaching others. I started as a trainer in Los Angeles in 1990, before we even had Windows!
That’s interesting! You’ve also been a language teacher?
Yes, for the last seven years, I’ve been teaching Thai language online. Before that, I taught face-to-face in Thailand, where I lived for about 15 years. During my time there, I also worked with the Thai government, teaching English to officials. Teaching has always followed me, whether it was intentional or not, and I’ve come to embrace that.
What inspired you to work on mindset development for entrepreneurs?
Throughout my life, I’ve been passionate about personal development. I’ve seen countless entrepreneurs struggle—not because they lack ideas or skills, but because they’re not emotionally prepared for the journey. I experienced this myself. I could build incredible systems, solve complex problems, but selling those solutions? That was my biggest hurdle. So, I decided to tackle that mindset barrier, both for myself and others.
Can you tell us about your latest project, Lamora Dynamics?
Absolutely. Lamora Dynamics is my latest venture focused on evolving entrepreneurs’ mindsets. Our first product, Lamora Tracks, is designed especially for online entrepreneurs, including affiliate marketers. The goal is to help people react positively to challenges, build resilience, and develop emotional readiness for success. I’ve also introduced an exclusive Founder Circle, limited to 275 people, where members can grow together and help bring these products to a broader audience.
You mentioned working on various creative projects too, like screenwriting. Tell us more.
Yes, I’ve always loved writing. I’ve written one complete screenplay and outlined several others based on different periods of my life. Storytelling, whether through film or platforms like Lamora Dynamics, allows me to express ideas that can help people grow. Visual arts and music also interest me, though they can be expensive to pursue at the scale I envision.
What has been the biggest challenge in your entrepreneurial journey?
It’s always been about confidence—specifically, the confidence to share my vision and trust others to understand it. I could develop solutions for clients, but then I’d stop there. I wouldn’t push myself to sell it to the world. Breaking that pattern has been my biggest hurdle. That’s why this year, I immersed myself in understanding marketing and human behavior to overcome that challenge.
Do you have any upcoming plans beyond Lamora Dynamics?
Definitely. I want to merge education and technology to create learning platforms that match how people absorb information at different life stages. For example, my six-year-old learns everything from TikTok, so I’m exploring ways to design a platform where young people can learn while still enjoying that quick-scroll experience—but with meaningful, positive content. It’s about using technology responsibly to solve real problems.
Lastly, what advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
We often hear that mindset is everything—and I believe it, but with a deeper understanding. Developing a strong mindset is a skill, and the foundation of that skill is gratitude. Being truly grateful for your challenges, not just your successes, is where growth happens. Challenges aren’t roadblocks—they’re opportunities to evolve.
Todd’s journey reminds us that personal growth and entrepreneurial success go hand in hand. His work shows how gratitude, mindset, and lifelong learning can transform challenges into stepping stones toward impact.
