Before you became the business titan you are today, enlighten us about the thrilling adventures of your pre-business life.
I have been passionate about science since childhood, leading me to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Guelph in 2017. Working as a nursing coordinator shortly after inspired me to further my education, and I completed the Practical Nursing Program at Mohawk College in 2021. Since then, I have been practicing as an internal medicine nurse at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. Beyond academia, I have a deep curiosity for global perspectives, which I explore through travel. Spending time in Europe, Indonesia, and the Caribbean (where my family is from) has allowed me to immerse myself in diverse cultures and traditions.
Could you elaborate on the nature of your initiative/business/current role, highlighting its purpose and the ways it benefits people?
Living with hypothyroidism profoundly impacted my quality of life. I experienced an unexpected 80 lb weight gain, chronic fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, joint pain, hair loss, eczema, anxiety, and depression. These symptoms made it difficult to feel like myself, be present for loved ones, and pursue my education and career goals. When I sought medical advice, I was told to eat less, move more, and take thyroid medication for life—yet, despite following this guidance, my symptoms only worsened.
Frustrated, isolated, and exhausted, I found myself caught in a vicious cycle of weight gain and chronic fatigue with no clear path forward. Determined to take control of my health, I spent nearly seven years researching, experimenting, and refining a strategy that finally worked. I successfully lost 100 lbs, reduced my thyroid antibodies, and restored my energy through targeted nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle changes. However, throughout my journey, I often wished for a clear, structured blueprint from someone who had experienced the same struggles.
I soon realized that many women with hypothyroidism face the same frustrations, and I became determined to change that. This led me to create The Body Harmony Protocol—a comprehensive program designed specifically to help women lose weight, reverse symptoms, and regain vitality through a holistic, evidence-based approach.
The Body Harmony Protocol is a six-month, fully online coaching program that helps women with hypothyroidism naturally heal symptoms and achieve lasting weight loss. Each of them is ambitious and hardworking, standing by me through every pivot and turn that comes with running a business. Additionally, their investment in their own health and wellness inspired me to take my health into my own hands—a journey that is the essence of this business.
Another strong support behind my business is my father. He always told me that my story is one of a kind and that I needed to find a way to use it to help others—whether through a program, book, podcast, or other means. His belief in me instilled a level of confidence that allows me to push forward in my business, even during moments of doubt.
As a woman entrepreneur, what changes do you hope to see in the world, and what opportunities are you seeking?
As a woman entrepreneur, I hope to see more of the world adopting a preventative approach to health. Working as a bedside nurse made me quickly realize that hospitals are not designed to be a first line of treatment, but rather a means of managing symptoms when chronic illness has reached the point of no return.
Each individual needs to know and believe that their quality of life is within their control through the habits they decide to practice daily. More importantly, they need to know and believe that they deserve the high-quality, high-energy lifestyle that these habits bring.

Despite ongoing challenges like gender bias and wage gaps, women continue to drive innovation, foster inclusive workplaces, and advocate for meaningful change. Their leadership styles often emphasize collaboration, emotional intelligence, and resilience—qualities that enhance organizational success.
As more women step into leadership, they not only inspire future generations but also reshape traditional power structures, proving that leadership is about capability and vision, not gender.
