Solange: Empowering Global Talent and Building Human Connections Through App Growth

Solange Baki

Meet Solange, a visionary leader in the app-tech space who has spent the last decade helping brands scale and create meaningful impact through technology. Originally from Venezuela, she brings a deep passion for democratizing opportunities, empowering diverse talent globally, and supporting women through innovation, leadership, and access. Today, through her consulting agency SCAP and content-influencer agency HOME, she is not only helping apps grow but also opening doors for individuals worldwide to thrive in the digital economy — a mission that resonates powerfully with Humans of Fuzia’s commitment to uplifting and supporting women everywhere.

Q&A

Can you tell us about your journey and what inspired your current work?
I have worked in the app-tech space for over 10 years and recently started my own consulting agency to help app brands grow and scale globally. I also co-manage an influencer and content creation agency. Coming from Venezuela, I’ve always seen how much talent exists worldwide that doesn’t always have access to international opportunities. So, a huge part of my mission is to bridge that gap — creating jobs, training talent, and helping people enter global markets.

What kind of work does your agency focus on?
We help brands scale their apps by driving growth, building strategies, and reaching the right audiences. This spans paid marketing, CRM, content strategy, app store optimization, and positioning. We also help produce performance-driven content that truly resonates with users.

Your journey includes six impactful years at Bumble. What did that experience mean to you?
Working at Bumble was incredibly inspiring because of its women-first approach. It aligned with my values of empowerment, independence, and giving women the confidence to take the lead. I worked across multiple apps within the Bumble ecosystem, scaling user acquisition and leading global teams — it was all about enabling meaningful human connections.

What kind of opportunities are you creating for talent worldwide?
Most of the roles we create are within marketing — especially partnerships, influencer campaign management, and media buying. We look for people globally, provide them with opportunities, and help them grow with international exposure.

What challenges do you face in your journey?
One of the biggest challenges is keeping up with the rapid evolution of AI while managing day-to-day operations and team development. The industry moves fast, so staying ahead is essential.

What makes your work and approach unique?
We deeply understand the complexities of scaling two-sided marketplaces like dating apps, which not everyone specializes in. We also uniquely connect performance-driven strategies with creative content — ensuring data and storytelling work together seamlessly.

What inspires you to keep going?
The rise of remote work has opened countless opportunities. Yes, competition is tougher, but the world is more connected than ever. I always encourage people — especially women — to look beyond their region, upskill, and reach out to global companies. There is so much potential out there.

“In a world that’s more global than ever, find your differentiator, keep learning, and never limit yourself to what’s around you. Opportunities exist everywhere — you just have to reach for them.”
