Tell us about your life before the venture/leading up to your venture?
I ran a creative marketing agency in the UK, working across the luxury, property, and hospitality sectors in the UK, Europe, USA, and the Middle East.
Inventing something has always been a dream of mine. Four years ago, after nearly having an accident with a cyclist on a dark night, I realized there had to be a better way to protect cyclists, runners, or anyone exercising in low-light conditions.
That moment sparked an idea: to create a brighter, smarter 360-degree lighting system. After years of development and refinement, the solution became clear—using cutting-edge LED technology that lights up brilliantly. And so, NightBlazr was born.
Tell us something about your organization. What is it about, and how is it helpful for people?
Many prototypes came and went on our long journey to get to the sleek, lightweight, and aerodynamic design you see today. We understand that cycling is a passion, a way of life, and a community. NightBlazr is a love-mark brand that takes its place in the “essentials” kit for all cyclists.
What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture? (Please talk about your recognitions/achievements here)
The response to NightBlazr has been overwhelmingly positive. We initially tested the market with a run of 400 units of our first version, which sold out quickly. The feedback we gathered highlighted the product’s durability, efficiency, and effectiveness in low-light conditions, earning praise for its sleek design and high-performance illumination.
NightBlazr has established itself as a standout in the safety lighting market, backed by global patents and registered designs. Building on this success, we spent a year refining the product based on consumer insights. The result—a new LED-based version—was recently recognized at the prestigious FIT Design Awards 2024.
With this recognition, we are excited to expand NightBlazr into the UK, US, Canada, and Europe, continuing our mission to deliver innovative, high-quality safety solutions.
How has your life changed because of your venture?
Since starting this venture, which I’ve pursued alongside my day job, my life has changed in many rewarding ways. It’s been an incredible learning journey—from creating initial designs and prototypes to conducting market research, developing the brand, and launching a commerce website.
I’ve gained valuable experience working with IP specialists, sourcing manufacturers, managing logistics, and navigating the complexities of financial planning, including creating investor decks and projections. Exhibiting at the Eurobike exhibition was a highlight, showcasing the product to an international audience.
All of this was achieved during the challenges of the pandemic, which made the journey even more demanding yet deeply fulfilling. The venture has pushed me to grow professionally and personally, equipping me with new skills and a broader perspective.
What are you working on right now?
Right now, my main focus is on raising investment and securing distribution and reseller contracts to expand NightBlazr’s reach. I’m also diving into the Amazon platform to enhance direct-to-consumer sales while exploring opportunities in markets beyond consumer applications. Additionally, I’m beginning to investigate potential product extensions to broaden our offerings.

To anyone reading this: remember that every challenge is an opportunity to learn, grow, and create something extraordinary. Starting my venture has been a journey of discovery—learning new skills, overcoming obstacles, and finding innovative solutions.
