Meet Shelley Poovey, a certified life and executive coach, energy healer, and founder of the LEAP Academy and Attune 360° Peak Performance Coaching. Her work is a deeply integrative blend of coaching, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and energy work that empowers high-achieving, purpose-driven professionals to find clarity, resilience, and balance. Shelley’s approach isn’t just about crossing off goals—it’s about feeling joyful, empowered, and aligned in the process. At Humans of Fuzia, we’re honored to showcase her powerful journey with our 5-million-strong community, uniting voices through the shared mission of She for She and He for She.

How would you describe yourself to our readers?
People often ask me what I do—with a bit of a head tilt—because my work is multifaceted. I work at the intersection of health, energy, mindfulness, and performance. I help people—especially high achievers—align their lives to what I call a “360-degree peak performance” model. It’s about discovering not only what you want to achieve, but how you want to feel while doing it. My mission is to help people tune into a state of joy, fulfillment, and clarity—not just accomplishment.

What is Attune 360° Peak Performance Coaching and how did it evolve?
It evolved from years of work in energy healing, coaching, meditation, and somatic practices. It integrates BodyAttune (which focuses on mindfulness and body awareness) with a coaching methodology tailored for high-performing individuals. Whether it’s a college athlete or a corporate executive, my goal is to help them move from burnout to balance, and from overwhelm to optimal flow.

Who is your core audience?
I work primarily with conscious entrepreneurs and high-performing professionals—people who are not just chasing financial success, but want to create a meaningful impact. They are purpose-driven and want their achievements to feel aligned with who they truly are. Many of my clients come from diverse fields—art, fashion, global organizations, business, and wellness.

What’s your business model? How do clients engage with you?
I currently offer a three-month Peak Performance Coaching program that includes one-on-one sessions, as well as customized experiences. I’m also developing it into a certified ICF (International Coaching Federation) continuing education program to launch later this year.

How do people typically find you?
Mostly through organic networking. I’ve been in New York City for over 25 years, and that has helped build strong, authentic connections. I also use LinkedIn and have a website, but I genuinely enjoy connecting with people through events, speaking opportunities, and conversations. Many clients come through referrals and word of mouth.

What’s a challenge you’ve faced in your business?
For me, the biggest challenge is channeling my inspiration into structure. I work very intuitively, which leads me to constantly create new programs and ideas. But consistency and focus are crucial for delivering lasting value, so I’m learning to integrate both sides—discipline and creativity—to stay grounded and intentional in what I offer.

What are your short-term goals for this year?
My focus is on expanding enrollment in my coaching program while developing it into a recognized ICF continuing education track. I want to create more structure around the powerful work I’ve already been doing and share it with a wider audience of professionals and coaches.

What message would you like to share with our readers, especially women?
It’s so easy to compare yourself to others, especially on social media. But remember: the work you do should excite and fulfill you. Ask yourself, “What would I do even if I didn’t have to?” Bring that joy and energy into your work. Don’t think of work as time given away—let it be time you own. That shift can lead to more clarity, energy, and authentic success. And most importantly: you’re not broken—you just need to realign with who you really are.

“Bring more of yourself into your work—let it be your time, your flow, your joy.”
