What inspired you to leave the corporate space and start your own business?
I wanted to be able to take projects in the direction I envisioned. In corporate settings, I often had to hand off projects before realizing their full potential. I craved the ability to see things through to their greatest heights, and that meant starting something of my own.

Who do you primarily work with now? Who is your ideal client?
We typically work with small businesses and entrepreneurs who have been established for at least five years and are entering a growth phase. These clients often need better visibility and brand clarity. We’re also expanding into the government contracting space and are now starting to support larger enterprises too.

What results have your clients seen from working with you?
Many of our clients have seen significant boosts in website traffic and brand exposure. More importantly, we give them confidence—a solid web presence allows them to approach clients, make sales calls, and share their work proudly. We always look at their business from the consumer’s perspective and shape their brand accordingly.

Have you ever experienced imposter syndrome as an entrepreneur?
Absolutely. As you gain more experience, you realize just how much you don’t know. Especially in a field that’s constantly evolving like digital marketing and AI, there’s always something new to learn. It can be overwhelming. But I’ve learned to lean on my team. We’re 19 people strong now, spread across the globe, and we support each other constantly.

How do you encourage growth and innovation within your team?
We’ve introduced company-wide brainstorming meetings where anyone, regardless of their role—be it design, marketing, or development—can pitch ideas. Everyone’s input is valued. We also recently introduced profit-sharing. When the company does well, everyone benefits. It’s really motivated the team to think creatively and contribute meaningfully.

Looking back, is there something you would’ve done differently?
I wish I had hired help sooner. For a long time, I relied on freelancers but hesitated to bring on full-time staff, fearing the financial commitment. But now I realize that having a dedicated, committed team is essential to real growth.

What challenges have you faced in your entrepreneurial journey?
Aside from keeping up with tech changes, client turnover has been a big challenge. Sometimes a client who brings in steady income suddenly cuts their budget or pivots. So we always have to be on our toes, filling our pipeline and finding new opportunities.

What kind of legacy do you hope to leave through your work?
Two things. First, I want to show that a global community can work together—across nationalities, religions, and beliefs—toward shared goals. At Sites by Sara, we have no borders. We have Indians and Pakistanis, Muslims and Jews working side by side, and it works beautifully. Second, I want every team member to feel valued—not just with fair pay, but by sharing in the company’s success. When we issued our first profit-sharing bonuses, I told them, “You earned this—go enjoy it.”

“Regardless of where you come from or who you are, you belong. We’re all human first—and when we treat each other that way, magic happens.”
