Meet Pili Sifas, a passionate leadership coach committed to transforming the way people lead from the very start of their managerial journeys. With a strong belief that employees don’t leave companies—they leave poor leadership—Pili is on a mission to guide new leaders to become the kind of managers who uplift, inspire, and empower. Her journey from corporate roles to coaching is not only inspiring but deeply human. At Humans of Fuzia, we are proud to feature her story as part of our mission to amplify powerful voices from across the globe. With a community of over 5 million changemakers, we celebrate leaders like Pili who embody the spirit of She for She and He for She.
Tell us a bit about your journey and what inspired you to become a leadership coach.
I’ve always been the person people turned to—for advice, for guidance, for support—even complete strangers on the street! But it wasn’t until the pandemic that I had the chance to really pause and ask myself if I wanted to spend the rest of my life working in corporate. I had worked at big companies like Toyota and loved it, but something was missing. I realized I wanted to do meaningful work that created real change, and coaching became the clear path.
Why did you choose to focus specifically on new leaders rather than senior executives?
Because I believe that’s where the biggest impact can be made. I work with new managers—people who’ve just stepped into leadership roles. If they’re given the right tools and mindset early on, they can become the kind of leaders who truly make a difference in their teams. I’ve seen too many people suffer under bad management, including myself. So my goal is to equip new leaders before they fall into the same patterns.
What is the core philosophy behind your coaching?
It’s simple: great leadership changes lives. I work with new managers to help them understand what leadership really means—not just hitting KPIs, but building trust, empathy, and a safe space for growth. I believe when teams feel supported, productivity follows naturally. People don’t quit jobs—they quit bad bosses. I want to change that.
Can you tell us about your upcoming leadership program?
Absolutely! I’ve designed a 10-part workshop series that will be launched this September. It’s primarily for companies and focuses on training groups of new managers. Alongside group sessions, I also offer personalized one-on-one coaching because everyone’s leadership journey is unique. It’s been months of work—weekends, late nights—but I know it’ll be worth it.
How are you currently building awareness around your work?
Right now, my main platform is LinkedIn. I also have a website that’s being updated to reflect my shift from workplace coaching to leadership coaching. I send out a monthly newsletter and have done guest podcast appearances and speaking engagements, especially in the Spanish-speaking entrepreneurial community. Time and budget are tight, so I’ve chosen to focus my energy where I can create the most impact.
What’s the idea behind your LinkedIn content?
It’s about showing up authentically. I want people to know who I am—not just as a coach, but as a person. I share my knowledge, my values, and sometimes my vulnerabilities. And yes, I also use it as a tool to attract clients by giving them a glimpse into what working with me feels like. But ultimately, it’s about connection.
“Sometimes the biggest change starts with one person believing they can lead differently—and I’m here to help them become that kind of leader.”
