Q: Nikki, what inspired you to start The Nikki Clarke Show back in 2008?
A: I started the show with the intention of transforming lives one story at a time. I wanted to create a safe space where people from all walks of life could share their journeys. Hearing diverse voices not only uplifts others but also helps people feel less alone in their struggles.

Q: What has kept the show running successfully for more than 16 years?
A: The passion and the purpose. Every story has the power to make a difference. When I see how viewers connect with the guests, how it helps them get unstuck in their personal or professional lives, that motivates me to keep going.

Q: Outside of the show, you’ve also been involved in youth and career development. Can you tell us more?
A: Yes, I’ve been a volunteer career coach in high schools, guiding students to explore their passions. In 2014, I also founded Clarke Media Arts, Toronto’s first youth media arts organization, where we teach young people video production, broadcasting, and storytelling. My dream is to expand this initiative into schools as part of the curriculum or after-school programs.

Q: What challenges have you faced along the way, and how have you overcome them?
A: One of the main challenges has been lead generation and consistently finding the right guests. But I’ve learned that perseverance, networking, and staying true to the purpose always open new doors. For me, it’s all about intrinsic motivation and self-validation.

Q: What is the mantra that drives you in your personal and professional journey?
A: My mantra is: “If you can see it, you can achieve it.” Believing in yourself is the first step toward making any dream possible.

Nikki Clarke’s journey is a reminder that stories hold the power to heal, inspire, and transform. As she continues to amplify diverse voices and invest in the next generation, she proves that purpose-driven work can create ripples of change far beyond what we see.
