Q: Can you tell us about your journey and what inspired your work?
A: My career journey has been quite diverse. I worked in academia, corporate environments, finance, and insurance, eventually serving as Director of Employee Health and Wellbeing Engagement at Optum while working onsite at Goldman Sachs.
Alongside my professional journey, I experienced significant caregiving responsibilities in my personal life — supporting my husband after a serious accident, managing my father’s cancer diagnosis, and caring for my mother-in-law overseas. These experiences completely reshaped my perspective.
Through both my personal journey and professional insights, I realized the immense challenges caregivers face, especially women. Caregiving significantly impacts careers, financial stability, and overall wellbeing. This realization inspired me to build solutions that help caregivers save time, reduce stress, and maintain stability while supporting their loved ones.
Q: What is the vision behind Motivity Care and Global Women for Wellbeing?
A: Motivity Care was created to support working caregivers, particularly those caring for aging adults. We aim to help them remain financially viable, stay in their careers, and feel confident that their loved ones are receiving proper care.
Our approach combines care planning, resource coordination, and secure technology to provide a comprehensive support system. We act like a general contractor for caregiving — coordinating medical, financial, legal, and personal aspects of care.
Global Women for Wellbeing focuses on research-driven initiatives that support women’s physical, mental, and financial health throughout their careers. Through global events and discussions, we bring women together to create actionable solutions and promote leadership through community.
Q: How do you create awareness about your work and reach your audience?
A: We use multiple platforms to build awareness, including LinkedIn, webinars, podcasts, and digital content. We also host events and discussions focused on leadership, community building, and women’s wellbeing.
Our messaging is primarily directed toward individuals aged 40 to 65 — people who may be caring for aging parents or planning for future caregiving responsibilities. Raising awareness early is crucial because planning before a crisis makes a significant difference.
Q: What makes your caregiving solution unique?
A: Our model combines human support with advanced technology. We help families create structured care plans, connect them with appropriate resources, and provide a secure platform where essential medical, legal, and financial information can be accessed anytime.
Caregiving is deeply personal, so we ensure individuals speak with real people who understand their journey. Our team provides practical guidance, emotional support, and coordination throughout every stage of caregiving — from planning to crisis management and even end-of-life processes.
Q: What challenges have you faced in your entrepreneurial journey?
A: One of the biggest challenges today is cutting through the noise. The world is fast-paced, and people are constantly overwhelmed with information and responsibilities. Communicating the urgency and importance of caregiving preparation can be difficult, even though it impacts millions of families.
However, staying mission-driven and focused on impact helps us continue moving forward.
Q: What role does community play in your work?
A: Community is central to everything I do. Through our global initiatives, we encourage women to support one another, share knowledge, and work collectively toward positive change. I strongly believe that collaboration, empathy, and shared leadership create stronger organizations and a better world.
