What inspired you to start Mindful Bodies?
I wanted to create a space that blends mental health care with physical wellness. I saw people struggling with body image, trauma, and lifestyle balance, and I knew there needed to be an inclusive, supportive solution. That’s what led me to build Mindful Bodies — a trauma-informed, body-positive, holistic wellness company.
What kind of services do you provide?
We offer individual and group wellness coaching, counseling for mental health, group fitness and yoga classes (in person and virtual), corporate wellness workshops, and support groups. We also do speaking engagements and help people create behavior change plans using a health-at-every-size approach.
What challenges have you faced in this journey?
One big challenge has been balancing multiple roles — counselor, coach, entrepreneur. Also, helping people unlearn toxic beauty standards and embrace body acceptance isn’t easy in a society obsessed with thinness and appearance.
How do you stay motivated and balanced as a coach and business owner?
I practice what I preach. I prioritize self-care, mindfulness, and movement. I also seek community — I surround myself with supportive people who uplift me, and I keep learning and growing.
Any advice for others trying to build a purpose-driven business?
Stay authentic. You don’t have to follow anyone else’s blueprint. Let your mission and values lead you. Focus on real impact over perfection or profit.
“Helping others build healthy habits and feel empowered in their own skin is my life’s work. At Mindful Bodies, we focus on healing, growth, and acceptance — because wellness is for everybody and every body.”
