Mary Spio: Empowering People to Scale Impact and Income Through AI and Meaningful Content

Mary Spio

Mary Spio is an inspiring entrepreneur, engineer, and the founder of CEEK, an AI-powered social platform that helps people connect, grow, and make an impact globally. From her early career in satellite communications to building a platform that empowers creators and learners alike, her journey is one of resilience and innovation. Humans of Fuzia is proud to feature Mary’s story to inspire our 5 million-strong community of women and allies worldwide, all working towards empowering and uplifting each other in the spirit of “He for She” and “She for She.”

Q: Mary, can you tell us a bit about your entrepreneurial journey and what inspired you to start CEEK?
Mary Spio: I’ve been running CEEK for about nine years now. It’s an AI-powered social platform that empowers users to scale their income and impact globally through interactive content, AI chats, skill sharing, and immersive experiences. My journey has always been about creating meaningful connections and giving people the tools to grow and make a difference.

Q: Are you a solopreneur, or do you work with a team?
Mary Spio: I work with an amazing team of 28 full-time employees. Building something like CEEK is a collaborative effort—there’s no way to do it alone!

Q: Who is your target audience, and what makes CEEK unique for them?
Mary Spio: Our target audience is anyone seeking meaningful content and growth—especially those interested in generative AI, emerging careers, and skill-building. Unlike platforms that focus on clickbait and viral trends, we’re creating a space where people can genuinely learn, grow, and make an impact.

Q: Entrepreneurship often comes with challenges. How did you attract your first clients and partners?
Mary Spio: We focused on building a really strong product and mission. That’s why companies like Apple, Meta, Microsoft, and Universal Music have partnered with us. Even celebrities like Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Bon Jovi, and NBA stars like Dwyane Wade are on our platform. Our focus on empowering humans through AI—what I call an “AI co-pilot” for growth—resonated with them.

Q: What does success mean to you personally?
Mary Spio: Success is living life on your own terms, doing what you love, and making a meaningful impact. For me, it’s about the legacy you leave behind—the people who are better off because of your work. CEEK is an extension of that vision. I want to help people, especially women, see their future and know that they can make a difference.

Q: Are there any upcoming projects or launches that excite you?
Mary Spio: Yes! We’re launching our AI co-pilot, which allows users to create with AI and even train their own AI twins to help others. Imagine Taylor Swift training her AI twin to encourage a kid struggling with bullying—this technology lets us deliver meaningful, personalized content that can truly change lives.

“To me, success is about the impact you make and the happiness you create—not just for yourself, but for the people who are better off because you dared to build something meaningful.”
