Lauren CW: Choosing Courage, Compassion, and the Power to Keep Going

Lauren Washington

Lauren CW is a humanitarian, author, and entrepreneur whose journey reflects grit, compassion, and a deep belief in living life on one’s own terms. Having spent two decades navigating the real estate industry while simultaneously building her entrepreneurial dreams, she embraces both risk-taking and resilience with heart. Featured on Humans of Fuzia for her inspiring commitment to uplifting others, Lauren’s story resonates deeply with our 5M+ community striving to grow, evolve, and support one another.

Q: Lauren, for those meeting you for the first time—how would you describe yourself?
A: I would start by saying I am a humanitarian. Everything happening in the world has made it important for me to prioritize human issues first. I’m also an author—I wrote Beautiful Nightmare, which shares my journey into entrepreneurship, a journey that has been anything but easy. Beyond that, I’m a risk taker, a mother, and someone who truly believes in living life on your own terms. You only get one life, so you should live it fully.

Q: Who do you consider your key audience?
A: People who are currently employed but dreaming of stepping into entrepreneurship. And also those who’ve jumped into entrepreneurship and realized they need stability or a reset. I also work with real estate investors—especially absentee owners or those outside the country—because I’ve spent 20 years in real estate and I’m a licensed broker in Illinois.

Q: How do you create awareness about your work right now?
A: Honestly, the digital space hasn’t been easy for me. My website has been under construction for years because I haven’t found the right fit. Right now, my presence is mainly through social media—LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook. I’ve written two books as well, and they help people understand who I am and what I bring. My business is restructuring, and soon, I will have a stronger digital footprint.

Q: What aspirations do you have for 2026?
A: I want to significantly expand my digital footprint—globally. This conversation itself is a step in that direction. So yes, more digital stability, stronger visibility, and continued growth.

Q: Apart from digital visibility, what other challenges are you navigating?
A: Funding. I am looking to acquire more capital, ideally through investors or an angel investor. I want to expand my digital presence through technology, and that requires investment.

Q: And finally, what message would you like to leave for readers who will look up to your journey?
A: Keep going. I know it sounds cliché, but while you’re persevering, you gain strength. It will hurt—sometimes really badly. But there is no ease without pain. The ease comes after. So don’t stop moving forward.

“The ease comes after the pain—so keep going.”
