Q&A Interview

Q: What inspired you to begin your journey as an entrepreneur?
Keirra: I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur. It felt exciting to me, almost like a natural fit with my personality. During college, I switched my major to marketing because I felt it could give me foundational skills for business. I took an online course that completely changed how I viewed marketing—not as persuasion, but as connecting people with what they genuinely need. That shift in mindset made me passionate about marketing and ultimately led me to entrepreneurship.

Q: Can you share some of the challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Keirra: Like many entrepreneurs, I faced ups and downs. In the beginning, I offered content strategy calls and got great testimonials, but making consistent, sustainable revenue was tough. I set a personal goal of earning $100,000 annually, but I couldn’t see a clear path to it. Later, I launched a niche podcast for tech companies, and while it helped me build my network, I struggled to feel passionate about the work. Add to that the “SaaS winter” when many software companies stopped getting funding—it became harder to grow. I found myself discouraged, questioning why I was doing what I was doing, and realized I had to reconnect with my purpose.

Q: What milestones are you most proud of?
Keirra: Early on, I was proud of figuring out my sales process and seeing my first successes in content strategy. But a major turning point came later when I discovered meditation through The Power of Now. That practice made me realize I didn’t need financial achievements to feel fulfilled. I remember one moment vividly: sitting in my backyard, seeing a tree I had walked past for years, and suddenly experiencing its beauty so intensely it brought me to tears. That moment taught me that fulfillment is always available if we allow ourselves to experience it.

Q: How did this realization change your approach to business and life?
Keirra: It completely shifted my perspective. I let go of tying my self-worth to revenue goals and instead focused on aligning with my deeper mission: helping entrepreneurs grow businesses that improve the world. I stopped pushing myself to meet arbitrary numbers and started prioritizing meaning and impact. This has led me toward mindful business growth and even inspired me to plan a new podcast called The Caring Capitalist, which will explore how entrepreneurs can solve social problems and create businesses that serve society.

Q: What is your idea of success today?
Keirra: My definition of success has expanded. It’s not just about revenue or customer numbers anymore. True success is about enjoying life, experiencing beauty and joy, and contributing positively to the world. In fact, I’ve come to believe that success is just a construct—it doesn’t really exist in a definitive way. Like a cloud in the sky, we simply are who we are, and that in itself is enough.
