Katherine Victoria Kimball is a certified coach and advocate dedicated to helping women rediscover their strength and voice. A survivor herself, Katherine turned her pain into purpose by creating safe, non-judgmental spaces where women can be heard, supported, and empowered to heal. Through her coaching practice, she works to bridge the emotional and systemic gaps that too often silence women — both in their personal lives and professional settings. Her journey is one of courage, compassion, and quiet leadership, inspiring thousands of women in our 5M+ Humans of Fuzia community to seek empowerment through empathy.
Q: What inspired you to start your coaching journey?
Katherine: I started my coaching business because I wanted to create safe spaces for women — better spaces for women. So many of us suffer in silence, thinking we’re the only ones, and I wanted to change that. My mission is to make sure women have a place to share their stories, receive emotional support, and not feel judged. Having personally gone through abuse and assault, I know how difficult it is to find help that truly listens. My work today is about filling those gaps — creating spaces that are safe, healing, and validating.
Q: What challenges did you face while building your brand?
Katherine: When I started, I had no business network and no prior experience running my own venture. I had passion and coaching expertise but not much knowledge of the business side. The learning curve was steep. Over time, I learned to take things one step at a time — thirty minutes or an hour a day. I also realized the importance of slowing down. We live in a world that’s constantly telling us to “go, go, go,” but sustainable growth happens when you slow down, focus on what matters, and build strong foundations.
Q: What milestone are you most proud of?
Katherine: I just completed my second year in business, which feels amazing. I’m also very proud of an event I’m launching — a holiday lunch retreat. It’s something I haven’t seen anyone else do before, and it feels special because it’s the kind of event I’ve always wished existed — one that fosters genuine connection and self-care.
Q: Do you work with a team or as a solopreneur?
Katherine: I’m a solopreneur. I have wonderful friends who’ve supported me with things like my website and feedback, but as far as my business operations go, it’s just me. It’s empowering and challenging at the same time.
Q: What are your thoughts on women in leadership today?
Katherine: Women in leadership are essential. Research shows that female leaders often bring more empathy and make decisions that benefit wider groups, including vulnerable populations. They lead with compassion — and that kind of leadership helps everyone. I don’t think empathy is exclusive to women, but it’s a strength we often see more developed in women leaders. True leadership is about serving and protecting the people you lead, and empathy is at the heart of that.
Q: What message would you share with aspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs?
Katherine: Don’t give up and don’t listen to the doubt. Women tend to second-guess themselves or give up too soon because they’re more affected by negativity. Trust yourself. It’s okay to say no, it’s okay to ignore unhelpful opinions, and it’s okay to keep going even when things feel hard. Take small actions every day — that consistency will take you far.
Q: What does success mean to you, personally and professionally?
Katherine: Success is being in a state of equanimity and abundance — feeling internally aligned. I’ve known people who earn far less but live happier, more content lives than millionaires. Success isn’t about external markers; it’s about your internal world aligning with your purpose, your work, and your relationships. When you feel at home with yourself, that’s true success.
“Success isn’t about what you achieve externally — it’s about finding peace, alignment, and authenticity within yourself.”
