Jennifer Paulino: Building Character, Purpose, and a Life of Abundance

Jennifer Paulino

Jennifer Paulino is a purpose-driven entrepreneur whose journey is rooted in faith, resilience, and a deep commitment to helping others build meaningful lives. Inspired by the wisdom passed down from her father and grandfather, she believes in remembering who you are and allowing life’s challenges to build—not break—you. Humans of Fuzia is featuring Jennifer for her powerful voice on identity, feminine leadership, and purpose, and for the impact she continues to create across communities. Her story inspires our 5M+ women and allies working toward a world shaped by He for She and She for She.

Q: What inspired you to begin your entrepreneurial journey?
A: The concept of “it builds character” shaped everything for me. My dad always reminded me to remember who I am, and that has grounded my journey. My dad and grandfather—who passed away last year—deeply influenced my sense of purpose. I also believe God uses our lives as evolving journeys without earthly destinations, so I focus on embracing the process and seeing everything as part of my growth.

Q: What challenges have you faced along the way?
A: My biggest challenge has been my own mind. Entrepreneurship exposes parts of you that you didn’t realize still needed healing. Even though I’ve been in therapy since middle school, building my business revealed an entirely new layer of personal development. Honestly, entrepreneurship is therapy. A friend once told me, “You don’t need a business coach; you need a psychologist,” and it’s so true.

Q: What has been your greatest milestone so far?
A: Launching my first foundation in the Dominican Republic—from start to finish. I’ve been part of nonprofits before, but to build something entirely from my heart and see it impact communities has been indescribably beautiful. Now bringing the initiative to the United States feels like another powerful step.

Q: Do you work alone or with a team?
A: I have a team. While I admire solopreneurs, I personally couldn’t do this alone. I don’t have W2 employees, but I collaborate with contractors and specialists who contribute meaningfully to different projects. They are absolutely part of my team.

Q: What is your perspective on women in leadership today?
A: Women belong in leadership. I believe femininity has been misunderstood in modern culture as something forceful or aggressive. True feminine power comes from being, not doing—from existing in the divine design God created for us. Women were made to create life, and that creative power doesn’t require aggression. It requires boundaries, self-awareness, and honoring who we were created to be. When we lead from that place, we can birth life—in ideas, businesses, communities, and impact.

Q: What message do you have for aspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs?
A: Everything you need is already inside you. It’s not about your external experiences, skills, or environment—those are just add-ons. I think about the biblical story of God asking Moses, “What’s in your hand?” So I ask every entrepreneur the same. Don’t tell me your résumé—tell me what you’ve been called to steward. That’s where your true work begins.

Q: How do you define success, personally and professionally?
A: Success is about who I become through the process. Professionally, it’s abundance in opportunities and community—the right people and the right doors naturally lead to financial abundance. Personally, success means experiencing life fully, holding both grief and gratitude, and surrounding myself with the right people. If I can honor the tension of life with presence and purpose, I’m successful.

“Everything you’re meant to build starts from within. Look at what’s already in your hand—and begin.”
