If your business could have a mascot, what would it be and why?
Dragon – symbol of prosperity and perseverance.
What strategies do you employ to maintain a healthy work-life balance while running your own business?
Good question! Keeping time scheduled for self-care and family.
When faced with unexpected detours on your business path, how do you pivot with grace and resilience, showing fellow women entrepreneurs the way forward?
Uncertainty is a part of life inclusive of business life. We try to minimize the uncertainty but unexpected issues do crop up. We know this is part of our path and accept this pivot as the natural order.
How do you measure the success of your business beyond financial metrics, such as customer satisfaction or community engagement?
A sense of accomplishment is very important and that sense is different for everyone – part of my personal sense of accomplishment is lifting others up and helping other women and girls succeed, whether it be through collaboration, education, or mentorship.
Can you share a memorable moment where you witnessed significant growth or transformation in your business, illustrating the impact of your services/products?
The acquisition of my two previous businesses was very impactful for me.
What role do you believe mentorship plays in the success of small businesses, and how have mentors influenced your own entrepreneurial journey?
I have had one mentor that set a very strong example for me and really educated me on what female entrepreneurship could look like. Before that, I did not really have a sense of it. When I was coming up in my 20s, there were not communities for female entrepreneurs. It was only by chance that I had the opportunity to be mentored by this individual, and for that, I am grateful.
What’s your work all about, and how does it make a difference in the world?
We are helping many female entrepreneurs launch and grow their companies by way of Amazon. I believe it makes a difference as it sets a path for success for these companies.
