If your business could have a mascot, what would it be and why?
I haven’t thought about that, but maybe a spirit animal-style wolf, calmly and patiently guiding you forward down a trail that is hard to see, but you trust that your wolf is guiding you in a direction you need to go. The animal gives you confidence that although you’re walking trustingly, you are safe.

What strategies do you employ to maintain a healthy work-life balance while running your own business?
I do my best to hire staff that are as good or better than I am at tasks for the business. This allows me to focus on priorities and oftentimes those priorities are not business-related. I also let big ideas simmer. If I rush into new ideas, I’ll often realize they weren’t well considered yet, and it’s rarely useful getting things done quickly rather than a month or two later with better consideration.

When faced with unexpected detours on your business path, how do you pivot with grace and resilience, showing fellow women entrepreneurs the way forward?
I trust that if I’m in my flow, then I’m going exactly where I need to be. I control what I can control and stop myself if I feel myself “forcing” a situation forward rather than seeing the signs that I need to rethink the direction.

How do you measure the success of your business beyond financial metrics, such as customer satisfaction or community engagement?
To me, it’s the vibe—the way I feel about the business, the way my family feels about the business, the way my customers, partners, and staff talk about the business and what we’re accomplishing. Are they proud, inspired, leading, and excited—or tired, confused, and following blindly just because?

Can you share a memorable moment where you witnessed significant growth or transformation in your business, illustrating the impact of your services/products?
I’ll never forget the day a member sent me a DM and told me that because of my services, they would for the first time be able to buy Christmas gifts for their children without skipping a mortgage payment or borrowing money from family. To me, this was a very real indicator of a shift in their life, in their balance, in their mental health, and joy in life. If I can help more people to experience that type of shift in life, then I’m on the right path.

What role do you believe mentorship plays in the success of small businesses, and how have mentors influenced your own entrepreneurial journey?
I’ve been mentored successfully in professional skills and growth. However, finding mentorship in small business has proven difficult. I’ve found that every person and business, while similar in so many ways, are different in significant enough ways that you have to take guidance but not direction. What’s right for you is often what allows your entire family to have pride in the business, or allows you to sleep soundly—it shouldn’t drain your energy, it should ignite it like a fire. I don’t believe any mentor can tell you how to do your business better, so to me, listening and surrounding yourself with other entrepreneurs to gain multiple perspectives is a good start.

What’s your work all about, and how does it make a difference in the world?
We help everyday people land remote jobs in high-paying careers without the necessity of college degrees or specific work backgrounds. This allows the avoidance of student loan debt, years of life, or decades of grinding in order to see impact in income, work stability, and mental health. Careers are such a big part of people’s lives and generational success—that’s a big place to impact, in my opinion.
