Glenna, can you share how your journey into entrepreneurship began?
It really began by necessity. I became a single mom at 35 and knew I had to be present for my son. That choice made corporate life less viable, so I stepped into entrepreneurship. I call myself an “accidental entrepreneur” because I didn’t set out on this path intentionally—it unfolded because life required it.

Tell us about your current venture, Permission to Bloom.
Permission to Bloom was born during COVID as a heartfelt platform to help women recognize their beauty, strength, and wisdom through storytelling, writing, and inspiration. It’s about empowering women to “look in the mirror” and see their worth. Recently, I’ve evolved it into a coaching and consulting business to support individuals and teams through transitions—just like life helped me transition through many phases.

Have you worked in other industries before this?
Yes. After the Great Recession, my previous business dissolved, and I had to pivot. I transitioned into the renewable energy space in 2007 and worked extensively with a solar and energy storage firm, helping them build their U.S. business. Most recently, I was laid off from a VP position in March, but thankfully, I had already been preparing for this change. I’ve sat in many corporate chairs, which gives me insight into how teams and organizations work through change.

Are you currently running this venture alone or with a team?
I’m the founder and principal coach at Permission to Bloom. I work solo but am supported by a network of advisors, long-term collaborators, and contractors. I also partner with like-minded organizations. AI is a big part of my daily workflow—helping me stay efficient and focused.

What upcoming plans or launches are you excited about?
This fall, I’m launching a series of Purpose Portfolio Workshops, and I have a speaking engagement with RISE—the Women in Renewable Energy Leadership Forum. I’m also developing a unique project for 2026: a digital platform to amplify the voices of women mystics and wisdom teachers. It’s still under wraps, but I’m deeply passionate about offering women access to inspirational daily wisdom through a lens that reflects their own experiences.

You mentioned you’re passionate about the intersection of AI and humanity. Can you elaborate?
Absolutely. AI is incredible—I use it daily. But while technology evolves rapidly, our humanity must evolve in parallel. Teams are becoming more siloed, and loneliness is increasingly common. I believe our next coaching frontier lies in Transitional Intelligence and WeQ—helping teams collaborate, connect, and grow through shared purpose and compassion. The real power lies in activating our inner intelligence—mind, heart, and gut—and staying anchored in who we are, even in a fast-paced digital world.

“It’s our presence and the connections we nurture that will shape the future—not just the technology we use.” — Glenna Wiseman
