Froswa’ Booker-Drew

Driven by a deep commitment to relationships, leadership, and social impact, Froswa Booker-Drew has spent over three decades empowering individuals and organizations to grow with purpose. As a consultant, executive coach, and author, she helps leaders strengthen communities, build meaningful connections, and create lasting change. Humans of Fuzia is proud to feature her journey to inspire our global community of 5 million individuals working toward the shared mission of supporting women — embracing both He for She and She for She. Her story reflects the power of relationships, intentional growth, and building a legacy that uplifts others.

Q: Can you tell us about your vision and the mission behind your work?
A: My vision is to be a resource — connecting people to ideas, relationships, and opportunities. I help organizations become better community partners by identifying meaningful collaborations and supporting social impact initiatives. I also work with organizations facing internal culture challenges, helping them build stronger relationships within their teams. A significant part of my work is leadership development, where I coach social impact leaders to reconnect with their purpose. At the heart of everything I do is growing leaders.

Q: How would you describe your professional work — consulting, coaching, or something else?
A: It’s a combination of consulting and executive coaching. I work with organizations across the United States, helping them develop community strategies while also supporting leaders in their personal and professional growth.

Q: How do you create awareness about your work and reach your audience?
A: I have a website and maintain an active presence on LinkedIn, but much of my work comes through word of mouth. I strongly believe in social capital and building genuine relationships. Having worked in this field for more than 30 years, people know my work in the community. I’m also an author of five books, and my latest publication ranked among the top ten in three categories on Amazon. Public speaking and writing have played a major role in expanding my impact.

Q: What are your aspirations for the coming years?
A: My daughter works with me, and one of my biggest aspirations is to grow her into this space so she can eventually lead the business. I believe business owners should think about succession and legacy. I want to ensure the work continues even when I decide to slow down.

Q: What challenges have you faced in your entrepreneurial journey?
A: One challenge has been learning the business infrastructure — understanding finances, contracts, and protecting intellectual property. Having a good accountant and attorney is essential. I had to learn aspects of running a business that were outside my expertise. Growth often comes from learning what you don’t know and asking the right questions.

Q: Could you tell us about your team?
A: I have a small team that includes my daughter and contractors who support different projects. I also work closely with professionals like an attorney, accountant, and publicist who help strengthen the business.

Q: What advice would you share with women building their careers or businesses?
A: Build your own personal board of directors — a group of people who support you, challenge you, and remind you of your potential. These can be mentors, peers, or trusted individuals who genuinely care about your growth. They help you see possibilities you may not see yourself. Women should be strategic about building networks and social capital because the right relationships can open doors and accelerate success.

“Surround yourself with people who call out the best in you — when you grow yourself, you grow your impact.”
