Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?

At a very young age, I knew I had to live my passion, play a higher role and serve a higher purpose. In my neighbourhood, I saw so many people struggling, trading their time for little in return. They were always busy, never had time to enjoy life, and holidays were out of reach. That’s where I started my journey, which came with its own set of roadblocks.

The biggest challenges I faced in this journey were the moments of despair, hopelessness, and frustration. It all started when I was a young boy, around 6 or 7-years-old, when I was bullied. The boys in school laughed at me, my schoolbag was thrown away, my pencil bag destroyed, and my lunchbox stolen. There was always something going on that made me miserable. I sometimes cried in the school bathroom stalls, where nobody could see me.

I was born in a small town near the sea in Knokke, Belgium. The North Sea has always brought me a lot of comfort. I started to replace the negative events with positive dreams. Sometimes, I would be staring at the people in the distance, curious about why they did what they did. During class, I would keep looking outside the window, spotting a colorful bird that came flying by, watching a plane flying overhead, moments which inspired me to become a pilot (which eventually happened). I could listen endlessly to the fascinating stories of a monk who taught religion. That man was so inspiring, I could already see myself in the movie related to this man’s story. This is also the reason that the teachers of the educational institutions blamed me for being “a dreamer.” In fact, I still am. I later learned that dreaming is the juice for anything you would like to accomplish in life!

My mom was into yoga and meditation. She saw something in me, so on my eleventh birthday, my parents gifted me the book “Kung-Fu.” Many of you would assume that the book would be related to the Chinese Martial Arts, practiced by Bruce Lee or David Carradine in the seventies. However, the book was about an old inspirational way of thinking called the “Tao Te Ching.” What parents give their child a book about life wisdom at 11?  Well, I understood why they gave it to me about ten years later when I went into it more deeply. This book became the catalyst to my journey.

In between childhood and making my dreams come true, things got worse, I did not want to go to school in the morning, and I couldn’t run home fast enough in the afternoons. My first three years in high school were a complete failure. I wanted to prove myself but did this in a completely wrong, adolescent way, which got me in trouble repeatedly. After my third year in high school, my parents were informed that I was no longer welcome in that school. After a lot of consultation, thinking, and brainstorming within the family, we decided that I would go to a “hotel school” where I learned how to cook and serve. I started to feel more responsible and wanted to create new results and make sense of my life in general.

At the hotel school, we were taught how to run a business, which suited me very well as I started to dream about becoming an entrepreneur. I wanted to prove to the world that I wasn’t a loser or good for nothing. I wouldn’t repeat history and be the person who would end up in misery. The two things I am eternally grateful for are the few teachers who stood up for me and that I was lucky enough to have a good home with parents who cared tremendously.

Eventually, I graduated and was very proud to have achieved this. During my years in high school, I had an awesome part-time job in the hospitality industry. At the age of 13, I started as a cleaning boy in a swimming pool complex. The following year I served in the restaurant of a tennis club, and another year later, I became Sous-Chef in a large hotel kitchen by the sea. Things got better and better.

At the age of 18, I applied for a job in the Navy. A lot of people I knew were very negative – “you shouldn’t do this, you should act normal, it’s crazy enough already”, and on top of that, “you did the wrong studies, you will never make it because, in the end, you’re not good enough”. It made me angry and motivated at the same time. I said, “Watch me. I’ll show you,” and got accepted. It was an awesome time of possibility for me in the Navy. During that time, I saw these guys with stars and stripes, and I thought, “ If they can, why not me?” So, I applied for Sergeant. Again, many people said I shouldn’t do this. “Why can’t you be like everybody else and be satisfied with what you have achieved?” My retort was, “Watch me. I’ll show you!” And I got promoted. As a student in a French-speaking city far from home, I was introduced to the ground troops, (there was no vacancy in the Navy for a Sergeant) studying how to build bridges and roads, how to handle explosives. I became an engineer.

These were hard times full of persistence, discipline, perseverance, and lots of theory to learn. There were long evening studies and a lot of sports. Morning or evening, we were always in a peak state and did everything with full energy. We were taught this because, in the end, we had to be an example to the future soldiers who would join the army. One day I saw people parachute-jumping out of planes and the pilots flying those planes and helicopters, and I thought, “If they can, why not me?”

I applied again and many people I knew were very negative, so again, they would say, “Do you always have to do more and better?”. When you grow in society, and the people around you don’t grow, all they know is their house, their garden, their dog, and their television. I didn’t care anymore, so I said, “Watch me. I’ll show you!” and before I knew it, I was jumping out of planes and, later, flying them.

To be able to be in control of a 3-seater airplane, to maneuver it and have that feeling of “Yes! Yes! Yes!“. No words can explain how euphoric that made me feel. The year I became a student pilot, my first daughter was born. Two years later, my second daughter came, and two more years later, my 3rd daughter. Things were going super well at that time – a happy family with three lovely daughters!

I was only 26 at that time, but during this period I came to a few realizations. I was always proving myself because of my past. I feared being the loser, the good for nothing, ending up in misery. People kept telling me I was not going to make it, after all, I “only studied at the hotel school”. The day I stopped proving myself to my so-called friends and society, I detached myself from people without a dream or goal. I realized that if you grow in your personal development, you can handle anything. During this period, I also lost a lot of friends that I hoped to keep, but eventually, their departure made way for new friends at a different level. What I realized was the people who were negative were subconsciously afraid of losing somebody who was no longer being “normal” like them They wanted to keep me where I was, in their “normal” world. (define “normal”)

In 1991, I was done with the military and, after seven years, being away from my home base, I decided to become a truck driver. During my Army career, I had found out that adventure and travel played a major role in my life and it gave me a certain satisfaction. This was another incredibly beautiful period. As a truck driver I could travel through Europe and get paid at the same time. This was sometimes hard work, but discovering the beautiful countries and cultures provided the counterweight.

One year after my divorce in 1995, I learned how to stop proving myself to the world when I bought my very first personal development book. This is where my “new journey” started. It was a book called: “Notes from a  Friend” by Tony Robbins. That day I made a promise to myself that I was going to meet Tony in person and thank him for changing my life for the better. A few of my friends were trying to convince me that this was impossible, after all, he is a multi-millionaire living in the US. “Why would he make time for you?“ they taunted. I ignored them and started learning the secrets of business, communication, NLP, health, wealth. You name it, I probably studied it. Today I have an amazing library of books that changed my life forever.

I started my business on October 5th, 1995. I worked 24/7, trying to make ends meet, and realized this pace couldn’t continue. I was still a single father, raising three children and building a business at the same time. In my deep meditative state, I would ask various questions to the universe in the hope of being answered – Why was this happening to me? When will I meet Tony Robbins? When will I meet the Dalai Lama? and the list goes on. I had to learn not to complain. On the contrary, I had to learn to understand that this phase was teaching me so many beautiful things. I had to learn to rephrase my questions and be more specific when asking things from the universe. I read a lot of books written by the Dalai Lama, and I also brought my first book, “Tao Te Ching”, back into my hands and studied its entire content. These books became my inspiration.

My father died in 2002 at the age of 78. I did not have the chance to say goodbye, and that was very difficult for me. I found out that life can be over very quickly. During my father’s funeral, I made a promise that I would make all my dreams come true and do whatever it took to make them true.

I started to meditate even more intensely, asking very specific questions to the universe. My first question was to meet the Dalai Lama as soon as possible, and if possible, in Belgium. My second question was to meet Tony Robbins as soon as possible as well. Both questions weren’t specific enough yet, so I kept refining them. Four years later, in 2006, I met the Dalia Lama in Belgium.

A few years later, I was invited to a health and wealth seminar. During that time, in my life I smoked cigarettes, but that day I did not smoke for fear of losing my credibility. After the lecture, I was approached by that evening’s speaker, Mr. Ricardo Mendoza, and we had an in-depth conversation about the past and our experiences. Suddenly he asked me a question: “May I ask you a personal question?” To which I said, “Yes.” “How long have you been smoking?” I was in shock. I was told you could tell this by someone’s skin color and various other symptoms. He also informed me that he had an exceptional proposal for me, but that it was only for non-smokers.

I didn’t know what he had for me but still decided to quit smoking. It took me three months before I made the decision, and I remember it like it was yesterday. I called Mr. Mendoza in Portugal and told him I stopped smoking, and he didn’t believe me at first. When I convinced him, he promised to send me an email. It took him two weeks to send me that email, I almost died of curiosity. I finally got the email, and the subject mentioned: “Personal Security” Application for “Tony Robbins”. What happened afterward (what I asked the universe many years before) is that I finally ended up backstage having a high five and a brief conversation with the man himself. After two years of serving, I thanked Mr. Robbins for the opportunity and moved forward with my own business.

I was gaining so much self-confidence and started understanding people far better than ever before. I began sharing the secrets, knowledge, and benefits of Body Language from stages all over the world. I was able to collaborate and speak with the biggest event organizer on the planet, Success Resources London/Singapore.

Thanks to Veronica Chew who believed in me and gave me a chance, I was able to share and deliver “Unleash the Power Within Preview sessions” in the name of Tony Robbins, again, all over this planet. With all of that being said, if it weren’t for Body Language, Personal Development, believing in myself, the faith of those individuals I work and collaborate with, I would never be where I am  today. I have students in Denmark, entrepreneurs in Iran, CEO’s in Thailand, NLP trainers in the UK, business owners in Australia, all saying the same thing, the world is ready for this!

Today I run my successful educational company in London. I talk about the secrets and benefits of Body Language worldwide. I feel blessed to have shared the stage with many well-known speakers, such as Jack Canfield, Jairek Robbins, and Brian Tracy in many different countries – from London to Brussels, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Tehran, Bangkok, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Chicago, Los Angeles… and many other places. I teach people how to raise their self-confidence and hear what’s not being said in their business or personal communications. I enable them to understand clearly the meaning of what people say and distinguish between the truth and a lie in the blink of an eye.

I’m so grateful and feel blessed with four beautiful kids and many beautiful souls surrounding me. I will always remember where I come from and where I am going! Remember:

“Change is Daily, Personal Development is a choice! It’s your choice, choose well.“

Prof. Sarwar Khawaja FRSA – Multiple Award-Winning Sociopreneur – Entrepreneur and Philanthropist – Community Activist

London – United Kingdom

I first met René during his visit to London in 2016. It was a great time to share ideas and insights about living on a higher level of consciousness combined with Body Language. An interesting discussion arose about the importance of understanding these topics. During the years we collaborated in many ways at Oxford Business College and Brookes University Oxford.

Although Body Language is the oldest language on this planet and non-verbal communication represents +90% of all communication, 80% of the active population are untrained in this critical area. I recommend René and his book to understand Body Language in bite-sized chunks that you can apply on the spot for immediate results.

What do real-estate agents, lawyers, car sales, dating couples, public speakers, politicians, and people in most other professions fear for most? It’s being misunderstood and then being rejected. Communicating effectively, whether in writing, verbally, or physically with Body Language is key to success.

René is an expert in his trade – his dynamic, inspiring, energetic way of teaching makes learning Body Language fun. Mastering the knowledge of Body Language can take your business and personal relationships to a whole new level.

René’s training will show you the way to have better communication, stronger relationships, and even open up a higher level of consciousness through learning the secret knowledge of Body Language. This can help you to have specialized tools so you too can change lives all over the globe.

Ricardo Mendoza – Founder & CEO at “Resultados Maximos international” – Porto – Portugal

Hi, I’m Ricardo Mendoza and I met René at an event in Brussels in 2014. During the following years we collaborated in many ways and I was honored to have René in Porto during one of my live events in 2017. It is during that particular event that René released a lot of secrets and knowledge about an incredibly underrated and underestimated language called body language. All participants were super impressed and inspired by the energy, fun and especially the content. René has added great value here in Portugal.

Dr. Sepehr Taverdian – CEO at Impacters Events & Hamayesh Farazan – Tehran – Iran

Hi, I’m Dr. Sepehr Taverdian, CEO at Impacters Events & Hamayesh Farazan. René and I met in Amsterdam during a Tony Robbins’ Business Mastery Seminar in 2017. We had a great chat and moved on with our lives. It wasn’t until April 2019 that I got a call from Mr Pat Mesiti from Australia. He wanted to introduce me to someone and to my surprise it was René. I asked René if he was able to be in Tehran Iran in August to deliver a Body Language Seminar. Long story short, René was here in Tehran in 2019 and 2020 and the testimonials we receive from the participants are amazing. We are definitely looking forward to our next collaboration.
