What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
I’m the oldest of three sisters, and when our mom passed away just before I turned 26, I naturally stepped into the caretaker role. At the time, I was working as a hairdresser, but it wasn’t enough to sustain our family home. I transitioned to working part-time as a hairdresser and took on a full-time customer service role, eventually climbing the ladder to become a manager and later a VP in the corporate world.
In my 40s, I began my personal and spiritual development journey by attending a women’s group led by coaches. This inspired me to pursue coaching myself, and in 2013, I became a certified coach. I also became Reiki certified and have since learned other healing techniques, including Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to help support my clients. However, I stayed in my corporate role, held back by the story that I couldn’t make the income I needed as a coach.
In 2019, the company I was working for closed its doors, and shortly after, COVID changed everything. In April 2020, I received a request to coach, which gave me the push I needed to go all in. I’ve been coaching full-time ever since, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life.
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business/initiative? What motivated you within to say, “YES, go for it!”?
For me, the idea for my business was born out of a deep desire to help women break free from the addiction to busyness and find the clarity and confidence to create the lives they truly want. The moment that pushed me to say, “YES, go for it!” was when I received the request in April 2020 to coach a client. I saw it as a sign from the universe to trust myself, let go of fear, and fully step into my purpose as a Spiritual Mindset Coach.
What motivated me most was the realization that I had been holding myself back, clinging to the belief that I couldn’t make the income I needed doing what I loved. But deep down, I knew coaching was my calling. Seeing firsthand the transformation in my clients’ lives—their courage to face fears, embrace their power, and create their own Big-Ass Uplevels—reminded me that it was time for me to do the same. I haven’t looked back since, and every step has reaffirmed that this is the work I was meant to do.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
If given the opportunity, the change I would like to see in the world is for women—especially young, budding entrepreneurs—to embrace the belief that their worth is not tied to how much they do but to the power of who they are. We live in a world that often glorifies busyness and hustle, but I want to see a shift where women feel safe to slow down, trust their intuition, and create success from a place of alignment and flow rather than burnout and overwhelm.
I want women to know that their unique ideas and talents are enough. They don’t have to fit into a traditional mold or sacrifice their well-being to achieve greatness. Instead, they can build businesses that reflect their authenticity and bring joy, balance, and fulfillment—not just to themselves but to everyone they serve. True change happens when women lead with courage, purpose, and confidence in their own power, and I believe that’s how we’ll create a world that thrives.
Women are a growing force in workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women in leadership today?
Women in leadership today are an incredible testament to resilience, innovation, and the power of diverse perspectives. We’re seeing women not just breaking glass ceilings but transforming entire industries with their unique approaches to collaboration, empathy, and vision. Women leaders bring a balance of strength and vulnerability, combining strategic decision-making with a people-first mindset, which is crucial in today’s ever-evolving world.
However, there’s still work to be done. While cracks in the glass ceiling are more evident, many barriers persist—structural, cultural, and self-imposed. The progress is inspiring, but true equality will come when women feel empowered to lead without sacrificing their authenticity or personal well-being and when organizations create environments where they can thrive without bias or limitations.
I believe women in leadership are not just paving the way for themselves but also opening doors for future generations. By embodying courage, authenticity, and purpose, women leaders are proving that success doesn’t require fitting into old molds—it’s about creating new ones.
What’s the most important thing you have learned in your personal life and professional journey? What is your personal motto in life?
The most important thing I’ve learned in both my personal and professional journey is to trust and surrender. Life has a way of presenting opportunities and challenges that don’t always align with our plans, but leaning into trust and letting go of control has opened doors I never imagined. Surrendering isn’t about giving up; it’s about releasing fear and allowing the flow of life to guide you toward what’s meant for you.
One of my favorite quotes is by Wayne Dyer: “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” I live by this and try to always look at things from more than one angle, and as a result, I usually get a different point of view.
With your grit and determination, you are making a considerable impact, breaking through, and serving as a role model for many budding entrepreneurs. What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?
You are capable of more than you imagine. The journey may feel daunting at times, but every step you take builds strength, wisdom, and clarity. Trust your intuition, embrace the uncomfortable, and don’t be afraid to take risks. Growth happens outside of your comfort zone.
Remember, leadership isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up authentically, learning from setbacks, and inspiring others by being true to yourself. You have the power to create change, not just for yourself but for those who will look to you as a role model. Keep going. The world needs your unique light and voice.
