Vicky Kelly is a Life & Business Coach who finds joy in helping ambitious but slightly overwhelmed people achieve their full potential in a way that feels comfortable and sustainable. Her work blends strategy, mindset support, and deep emotional insight to guide clients through meaningful personal and professional transformations.
If your business could have a mascot, what would it be and why?
A giraffe—because they’re gentle, big-hearted creatures.
I see myself in that energy as a coach: calm, compassionate, and able to hold a safe, non-judgemental space. I’m deeply attuned to the vulnerability my clients bring, and it’s important to me that they feel truly seen and supported.
What strategies do you employ to maintain a healthy work-life balance while running your own business?
I try to run my business in alignment with my energy, rather than forcing myself to stick to rigid routines. I schedule my work around the school run, make space for exercise and nature, and leave room for creativity and flow. It’s not always perfect, but being intentional about how I spend my time helps me stay grounded and present in both work and home life.
I use my Healy device daily, and I absolutely love it. It’s a brilliant way to support yourself on all levels—physically, mentally and energetically—and it fits easily into a busy day. I can literally wear it while I’m working, and it sends microcurrents to harmonise my system as I go about my day.
I also limit the number of meetings I take to avoid overwhelm, and I make sure to carve out time to prepare and eat a proper lunch. These small choices help me stay grounded, energised and focused.
When faced with unexpected detours on your business path, how do you pivot with grace and resilience, showing fellow women entrepreneurs the way forward?
I work with the understanding that if I want a different result, I have to be willing to do something different. I also know that the human mind is wired to seek familiarity—so I enter any pivot with the acceptance that discomfort is part of the process.
We’ve been conditioned to avoid uncomfortable feelings, but that often keeps us stuck in an uncomfortable comfort zone. I support other entrepreneurs to recognise and move through this resistance, helping them to expand their comfort zones sustainably and confidently, even in uncertain times.
How do you measure the success of your business beyond financial metrics, such as customer satisfaction or community engagement?
For me, success means knowing I’ve truly made a difference in my clients’ lives—seeing them feel more empowered, aligned, and free. But it also means that my business supports the lifestyle I set out to create: one centred around time freedom and being present for my young daughter.
The ability to work flexibly, to adjust my schedule if she’s unwell, and to prioritise being there during her school hours—that’s the kind of success I dreamed of when I first started my business, even before I’d met her dad. It’s deeply personal, and I never take it for granted.
Can you share a memorable moment where you witnessed significant growth or transformation in your business, illustrating the impact of your services/products?
My business is currently undergoing a powerful transformation. I’ve felt a strong call to break free from the time-for-money trap—and I’m not alone. So many people I speak to are feeling burnt out, craving more time freedom, yet too caught up in the daily grind to explore a different path.
I’ve come across brilliant income opportunities that offer a way out, but I’ve also witnessed how much fear-based resistance comes up—often because these opportunities are unfamiliar and challenge our deeply ingrained beliefs around money. That’s why I’m launching a radical new coaching programme: I’ll be guiding people through one of these earning opportunities, while also providing the mindset support they need to overcome those blocks and rewrite their money story. It’s a bold step—but the kind that leads to real freedom.
What role do you believe mentorship plays in the success of small businesses, and how have mentors influenced your own entrepreneurial journey?
I believe mentorship and coaching are essential for the success of small businesses—especially for owner-operators who often struggle to find time to work on their business rather than just in it. A good coach or mentor provides accountability and helps ensure progress, rather than stagnation. The best mentors empower their clients to grow independently, avoiding any sense of dependency.
Throughout my journey, I’ve benefited greatly from coaches, mentors, and peers in the coaching community. They’ve helped me stay focused during times of change and carve out the necessary time to evolve. Additionally, mentorship has been key in unlocking advanced coaching skills that have profoundly impacted both my life and my practice.
What’s your work all about, and how does it make a difference in the world?
At the heart of my work is helping people break free from the old stories and conditioning that keep them stuck—so they can step into a life that feels truly theirs. It’s about evolution and freedom, in whatever area feels most pressing.
Business: I coach entrepreneurs not just on planning and strategy, but on mindset—helping them clear the invisible blocks and limiting beliefs, especially around money, that hold them back. It’s amazing to witness when clients unlock that next level of confidence and success, and start showing up as the leaders they’re meant to be.
Parenting: Gentle parenting is a beautiful ideal, but it’s hard to practice when you’re feeling triggered or overwhelmed. I work with parents to soothe their nervous systems and heal their triggers, so they can parent with more patience, calm, and heart.
Life: For those ready to dig deeper, I offer a journey I call “Becoming Unbound.” It’s a gentle but powerful process of uncovering and releasing limiting beliefs and old wounds, helping people realign with their true selves and the life they dream of.
Ultimately, my passion is to support people in living more freely, confidently, and authentically—in business, parenting, and life.
