What first inspired you to start your entrepreneurial journey?
My earliest inspiration came from a very personal place. When I was young, my father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a degenerative condition. That experience shaped how I viewed resilience and purpose. Around the same time, a light-hearted joke with friends in high school turned into something real — a nonprofit that eventually became a registered 501(c)(3) with chapters across multiple states. That was my first taste of social entrepreneurship, and it stayed with me.
How did that early experience shape your professional path?
It taught me that ideas can start anywhere, even from curiosity or humor, but what matters is what you build from them. I carried that mindset through university and into my career, balancing nonprofit work alongside roles in marketing, business development, and technology. Over time, I realized I was always drawn to building — communities, partnerships, and platforms.
Your career spans nonprofits, technology, and immersive computing. How did that evolution happen?
I began with internships that introduced me to marketing and partnerships, which later led me into the tech industry. Working in large organizations helped me understand scale, storytelling, and collaboration. Eventually, I moved into augmented and virtual reality, where I now work on building infrastructure that we believe will shape how people interact, work, and connect in the future. At its core, it’s still about creating experiences that bring people together.
What challenges have you faced when it comes to branding and growth?
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to tell a story beyond passion. Whether in a nonprofit or a startup, growth comes from partnerships and collaboration. You can’t build in isolation. Rejection is part of the process, and persistence compounds over time. The key is framing your work in a way that creates shared value — for you and for the people you collaborate with.
Do you work alone, or are you supported by a team?
I’m part of a small, close-knit team of about ten people. We’re a bootstrapped company, and everyone wears multiple hats. That environment pushes you to learn fast, adapt, and respect different skill sets — it’s very collaborative.
What are your thoughts on women in leadership today?
Women in leadership are essential. Diversity brings better perspectives, better products, and broader impact. What we’re building is meant for everyone, and that means women must have a voice in shaping it. Leadership should be merit-based, inclusive, and open to different viewpoints — because what we create today impacts people across the world.
What message would you share with aspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs?
Don’t be afraid to raise your hand. Ask for opportunities. Apply for roles even if you’re not 100% sure you’re ready. Often, people count themselves out before anyone else does. Putting yourself forward creates possibilities you didn’t know were available.
What does success mean to you, personally and professionally?
Success is happiness and alignment. It’s about building a life you’re proud of — spending your time with the right people, doing work that reflects your values, and moving toward a future you choose consciously. If your work and life support who you want to be, you’re already ahead.
“Don’t count yourself out before you’ve even raised your hand — the opportunity might already be waiting for you.”
