Charlotte Latjes is someone who values clarity, authenticity, and intention—especially when sharing her story with the world. Her conversation with Humans of Fuzia reflects a thoughtful pause many women experience before stepping into visibility. We’re featuring Charlotte because her honesty about readiness, self-representation, and choosing the right moment resonates deeply with our 5M+ global community of women who believe that empowerment also means honoring your own pace. Her story reminds us that showing up fully sometimes begins with giving yourself permission to prepare.
Q&A
Q. What were your initial thoughts when you joined the conversation with Humans of Fuzia?
I genuinely thought this was just a chat to understand what Humans of Fuzia is all about. I realized quite quickly that I hadn’t prepared myself to share my journey meaningfully, and I wanted to be honest about that.
Q. Why was it important for you to pause instead of continuing with the interview right away?
I believe that if I’m going to share my story, I want to do it thoughtfully and at my best. I have a few different angles to my journey, and I want to be intentional about how I present myself. Rushing into it wouldn’t have felt aligned.
Q. What stood out to you about Humans of Fuzia once you understood the platform better?
What stood out was the focus on storytelling and impact—especially stories that inspire and empower women globally. Once I understood that intention, it felt like a meaningful opportunity rather than just an interview.
Q. How do you personally approach visibility and sharing your work or journey?
For me, visibility should feel authentic, not forced. I don’t want to show up with a script, but I do want to show up prepared—mentally and emotionally. That balance matters to me.
Q. What does taking time to prepare represent for you as a woman?
It represents self-respect. I think women often feel pressure to say yes immediately or be “ready” on demand. I believe it’s okay to ask for time—to reflect, to refine, and to show up in a way that feels true to who you are.
“I want to come as my best self—because that’s what I believe everyone deserves.” — Charlotte Latjes
