Could you share a bit about how your day is going today?
It’s been a slow start, but good. I’ve been trying to stay present, especially so I could really be here for this conversation.

How did your journey as an entrepreneur begin?
It’s been quite eclectic. I started off as a project management consultant with my own company, working with Fortune 500 companies to turn around failing projects. Before that, I was into technical writing and training—teaching people how to use software like Microsoft Word and Excel. After the 2008 financial crisis, I pivoted and shifted my business online, which eventually led me into coaching.

What inspired your shift into coaching?
I noticed a lot of talented people struggling to build businesses. Many were becoming coaches or consultants after job losses but lacked the structure to make it work. That’s when I realized I wanted to help others turn their expertise into sustainable businesses—by showing them not just how to do it, but how to do it strategically.

What are some of the common challenges you’ve observed among business owners today?
The biggest one? Getting clients. But that’s the heart of any business—figuring out how to attract leads, position yourself as the go-to expert, and then close the deal. It’s not just about posting content. It’s about positioning. If you’re not clear on your niche, your offer, or the problem you solve, you’ll get lost in the noise.

How do you guide your clients through that?
I help them dial in on four things: their niche, the problem they solve, their signature solution, and their offer. I call it my 1-1-1-1 Strategy. Once you have clarity on these, creating content and engaging with your audience becomes a lot more effective.

Who do you typically work with?
I work with high-ticket coaches and consultants—especially leadership and executive coaches. LinkedIn is my main focus because that’s where these professionals are. If your clients can’t see you online, they won’t know you exist.

Do you have any ongoing offers or services you’re currently focused on?
I don’t launch in the traditional sense. My offers are always available. One is Position to Profit—helping coaches figure out their strategy and message. Another is the Authority Boost Intensive, a done-with-you and done-for-you service where we revamp their entire LinkedIn presence in five days. It’s for people who are ready but don’t have the time to figure it all out themselves.

What is your vision for the next year?
I want to help more people swim instead of sink. Business isn’t built on freebies—it requires commitment, investment, and clarity. When people are caught in chaos, everything seems like the right move. But once you find clarity, everything else becomes noise. That’s the transformation I want to help more people achieve.

“You’re not trying to create another job for yourself—you’re trying to build a business. And that takes clarity, structure, and consistency.” – Chareen Goodman
