Before you became the business titan you are today, enlighten us about the thrilling adventures of your pre-business life.
I began my career as a case manager and vocational rehabilitation counselor while earning my BA in Psychology and MA in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. In 2015, I launched Shekinah Counseling and Consulting in Florida, offering mental health services as a licensed provider. I transitioned it to an LLC in 2020 to continue my clinical work. In 2023, I founded Attainable Vision and Business for Nerds as a separate business entity, focused on coaching, education, and consulting for entrepreneurs and helpers, completely distinct from my counseling practice.
Could you elaborate on the nature of your initiative/business/current role, highlighting its purpose and the ways it benefits people?
Through Attainable Vision and Business for Nerds, I offer coaching, consulting, and educational tools to help therapists and neurodivergent entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses. This work is completely separate from my clinical counseling practice. I’ve created two signature courses—Diversify Income for Therapists and Starting a Therapy Private Practice—to guide therapists through ethical income-building strategies and practice development. I’m also developing a gamified course and interactive map to make business growth feel more engaging and accessible. My mission is to help heart-centered professionals reduce burnout and build businesses that honor their values and energy.

Many people have told me they finally feel seen, heard, and supported through the tools, blogs, and community spaces I’ve created. With years of experience as a licensed counselor—and a doctoral dissertation focused on compassion fatigue in private practice—I now design coaching experiences and courses that help therapists, creatives, and business nerds build sustainable, values-aligned businesses. I’ve worked with students, beta testers, and collaborators, and have been invited to speak on burnout recovery, contribute to affiliate networks, and co-lead strategic, decentralized business communities rooted in mutual support and shared leadership. I’m proud of the trust people place in me and the collective growth we foster together.
Having a strong support system is essential for your well-being. We would love to know who your biggest supporter is. Share with us and let’s celebrate the amazing people in our lives who make a positive impact.
My biggest supporter is my husband, who’s been a steady encourager—jumping in when tech fails or when I feel stuck or overwhelmed. My business partner and father also bring deep insight and steady wisdom to our work. I’m uplifted by a powerful circle of coaches and collaborators who reflect my values and push me to grow: Scott Perry (my mentor and coach), Jake Anderson (my web strategy partner), Alexander Semenyuk (whose newsletter I contribute to), Kathy Enriquez (a podcast guest and creative collaborator), Laura Zane and Meg Young (my business besties), and Dr. Angie Pulido-Banner (a trusted colleague in healing-centered work). There are so many more. I can’t list them all—but their encouragement and vision keep me grounded and inspired.

As a woman entrepreneur, what changes do you hope to see in the world and what opportunities are you seeking?
I want to see more sustainable business models: ones that make space for rest, creativity, inclusion, and neurodivergent brains. While I connect with all kinds of creatives and entrepreneurs, much of my work (and let’s be honest, my heart) centers around counselors—a field that’s mostly made up of women who are constantly pouring into others. So many of them are wildly talented and deeply compassionate, but haven’t been shown how to center their own dreams without guilt. I’m here for collaborations that uplift underestimated voices and offer practical, compassionate support to those navigating burnout, business building, and, well… life. My goal? To normalize ethical solopreneurship (and entrepreneurship) and create business paths that are as human—and as quirky—as we are.
Women now stand shoulder-to-shoulder with men in the workplace, breaking through glass ceilings to reach the top. What are your thoughts on women’s leadership today?
Women’s leadership is reshaping the workplace and that’s a-mazing! It’s more collaborative, empathetic, and systems-aware. We’re not just breaking ceilings; we’re rebuilding the structure underneath. I believe women leaders are paving the way for healthier, more sustainable ways to work, create, and lead—especially for those of us who think differently, love deeply, and refuse to leave our authenticity at the door.
