Tell us a little about yourself, Bethany. How would you describe who you are?
I’m a fractional CMO, and I help businesses in the health and wellness space grow their marketing and reach their goals. I’m originally from the United States, but I haven’t lived there full-time since 2011. I’ve been living internationally ever since—exploring the world, experiencing new cultures, and having constant adventures. I even see every marketing campaign I launch as its own little adventure. You can plan and strategize, but you never really know how things will unfold once it’s out in the world. That’s what makes it exciting for me.

How has your journey in marketing evolved over the years, especially with the rise of AI?
The pace of change has been incredible. When I first started, it was all about traditional SEO and Google rankings. But now, AI has transformed how we approach marketing completely. From creating content to generating visuals and even adjusting strategies for AI-driven search tools—everything is evolving so quickly, almost on a weekly basis. I use AI extensively in my work, especially for writing. It’s been a game-changer, particularly for solopreneurs like me who have to do more with fewer resources.

What inspired you to start your own company?
I’ve spent years doing marketing for well-established companies, even serving as co-president at one point. But launching Red Rhino Exec felt like the natural next step for me. I wanted to take my skills and use them to help health and wellness entrepreneurs who want to grow but may not know where to start with marketing. I love seeing people in that space thrive, and I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to tackle marketing without guidance.

What are some challenges you’ve faced as a solopreneur?
One of the biggest adjustments has been marketing without the big corporate budgets I was used to. It requires creativity and a completely different mindset. Another challenge has been rebuilding my network. The connections I had from my corporate role didn’t always translate to what I need as a solopreneur. So, I’m actively working to surround myself with like-minded people who can support and uplift me on this journey.

Is there a message you’d like to share with others who are starting their own ventures?
Absolutely. One of my favorite quotes is from Maya Angelou: “Every storm runs out of rain.” That really resonates with me, especially during the hard days of entrepreneurship when things feel isolating or overwhelming. You have to remind yourself that challenges are temporary, and better days are always ahead. Stay the course, keep pushing, and believe that the storm will pass.

Bethany’s journey reminds us that every challenge brings growth, and every unknown can lead to new opportunities. Her story is a testament to the power of resilience, exploration, and believing in your mission.
