Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself and your journey?
Amy Sando: I’m a certified holistic nutrition coach and a retired teacher. I went from being a lupus warrior to a healing coach. After years of battling chronic pain, fatigue, and inflammation, I learned how to turn food, movement, sleep, and lifestyle changes into powerful medicine. Now, through my Healing Pathways roadmap, I educate and guide women with autoimmune diseases and chronic inflammation to reclaim their energy, reduce pain, and feel strong and vibrant again.

Q: What does being a “lupus warrior” mean?
Amy Sando: Lupus is an autoimmune disease, which means the body attacks its own tissues. In my case, it affected my joints and eventually my kidneys. I was told my life expectancy might be just 10–15 years after diagnosis, which was unacceptable to me. I researched, found doctors who focused on nutrition, and made lifestyle changes that changed my health. That journey inspired me to help other women do the same.

Q: Who do you work with, and what challenges do they face?
Amy Sando: I work with busy moms, stressed executives, retired women—anyone struggling with chronic pain, fatigue, brain fog, or autoimmune conditions. Many have tried medications and therapies, but nutrition is often overlooked. Women come to me seeking holistic solutions that address the root causes, not just symptoms.

Q: How do women typically find you?
Amy Sando: Most women find me through social media, where I share short, science-backed nutrition tips and lifestyle strategies. Others hear about me through word-of-mouth referrals. I also run free quarterly challenges and workshops to give women a taste of what healing can feel like before they join my full program.

Q: What tools or strategies help you manage your business?
Amy Sando: It’s mostly just me running things, but I use AI tools to help plan content and organize ideas. I also have a coach to guide my social media strategy. I recently started a Facebook Live series called “Mythbusters” to clarify common health misinformation, and I share updates on the latest research through “News You Can Use.”

Q: What are your short-term goals for your work?
Amy Sando: My short-term goal is to work with at least one new client each week. I also want to expand into virtual workshops and collaborate with other wellness leaders. My aim is to bring a holistic approach covering nutrition, sleep, stress regulation, movement, and habit formation so women can truly sustain their health improvements.

Q: What advice would you give women struggling with chronic illness or stress?
Amy Sando: You don’t have to live at the mercy of your symptoms. Healing is possible. You are stronger, braver, and more capable than you think. Your body is designed to work with you, not against you. Consistent steps add up, and you don’t need to do it alone. If I can go from lupus flares and fatigue to thriving, so can you.

Amy’s story is a testament to resilience, clarity, and the transformative power of holistic wellness. She reminds us that even the toughest health challenges can be met with courage, knowledge, and consistent action.
