Sometimes, the most unexpected discoveries lead to the most meaningful chapters of our lives. For Shilpi, what started 8 years ago as a casual scroll on Instagram became the beginning of her “second innings”—a journey rooted in gratitude, growth, and impact. Today, she continues to embody creativity, resilience, and connection through her work at Fuzia. More recently, a simple scroll on Facebook in February 2025 inspired her to participate in the VG Ms. & Mrs. India Beauty Pageant, where she proudly earned the titles of Mrs. India Gujarat Empress’25 and Mrs. India Fashionista.
Humans of Fuzia in conversation with Shilpi
Tell us about your path — how did your journey bring you here?
Eight years ago, while casually scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled upon a platform called Fuzia. Something about its energy, its commitment to women, and its creative vibrance instantly resonated with me. At that time, I was on a break — professionally paused, yet quietly hopeful. That moment sparked what I now call my second innings.
What’s a value you live by every day — and is there a childhood memory connected to it?
I live by gratitude every day, and I believe true happiness begins with simply being thankful. I still remember, as a child growing up in a modest household, my mother used to make the simplest meals feel like celebrations. Even a bowl of kheer came with a smile, a story, and a sense of abundance.
Can you recall a moment (big or small) that made you feel really proud?
One of my proudest moments was completing my MBA from IIM Calcutta in 2022, followed by winning the titles of Mrs. India Fashionista and Gujarat Empress’25. What makes it even more special is that I achieved all this while working with Fuzia—a platform that truly inspired me to upskill, both professionally and personally. Through the interviews I conduct with leaders across industries, my thought process evolved, and I gained clarity on my vision for women in India. That perspective shaped my winning pageant answer: a future where, in the next 10 years, women in India embrace digital entrepreneurship and achieve financial independence.
What has being part of the Fuzia team meant to you?
Being part of the Fuzia team has meant so much more than just holding a job title—it gave me a larger purpose. As I watched the platform grow, I found myself growing alongside it. Fuzia became a space where I could merge my love for creativity, networking, and storytelling, while connecting with women across the globe and thriving together. It also inspired me to start my own blog, Live Wabi Sabi Life, where I share insights on mindfulness, the law of attraction, personal growth, productivity, and the Wabi Sabi philosophy.
What message would you give to someone who wants to be in your kind of role?
If you want to step into a role like mine—where creativity meets impact—start by believing in the value of your voice. You don’t need to have it all figured out. What you need is curiosity, compassion, and consistency. Build real connections, not just contacts. Listen deeply. Share honestly. And most importantly, be willing to grow through what you go through.
✨ Shilpi’s journey is a beautiful reminder that gratitude fuels growth, and true impact comes from lifting others as you rise.
