What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before the venture/ corporate journey?

I grew up with a father who was a very successful entrepreneur, but who started from our Dining Room.  My older sister was a professional Show Jumper so we spent a great deal of time at Horse Shows.  So my early lessons were about perseverance, hard work and building success.  I was the academic one whilst my sister was sporty.  I had a comfortable upbringing and excellent education but was always aware this was down to my father’s endeavours so I was never spoiled or took it for granted. Dad was my hero and since Mother told me that he always wanted a boy, I was driven to prove I could be as successful as any boy.  I always felt that I needed to do something in my life that was about enhancing the lives of others, but imagined that would be something I did after retirement.  Only much later did I discover that I could work in this field, allowing me to serve my purpose and earn a living in alignment with that.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business/initiative? What motivated you within to say “YES, go for it!”

A sense of purpose that I have had since I was very young and recognising this was how I could align my purpose and create impact beyond my immediate circle.

Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?

We are trying to inspire a new generation of leaders to create healthy, sustainably successful, ethical organisations that serve all their stakeholders, including community and planet.

Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?

Our books and brain friendly transformational learning approach create long term, transformational change.  Also our collaboration with 6 global universities in a short Executive Program for Sustainable Transformation.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

I would like to see the majority of young leaders become more Emotionally Intelligent and aligned with their Values and Ethics so they create healthy, long term success for their organisations and change the paradigm of leadership

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women’s leadership today?

Our data from 15 years of Leadership and Emotional Intelligence Performance Assessment data shows that women are naturally better equipped for leadership in 18 of 19 key Emotional Intelligence Capabilities.  Women have the natural aptitude to be great leaders and they do not have to ‘ape’ men to do so.  The Transpersonal Leadership Journey equips them with everything they need to lead in an exemplary manner.

What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

Seek a path towards being consciously the best leader, Radical, Ethical and Authentic, drawing on your Emotional Intelligence, your Values and bringing those to life in everything you say and do.
