Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?
I have always focused on sustainability, so I started a second-hand store which was very successful for 8 years, before I decided to focus full time on my freelancing ventures. In addition to that I ran a cafe for Aker kverner in Horten and was the head waitress for a catering company. Hard work has always been very important to me, so I always had several projects running at once.
Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
I have my own company, Masaki Kihle, where I help companies, especially tech start-ups, with forming and implementing communication and marketing strategies. Today I have one client in particular, Homesourcing, which provides development resources to tech start-ups in Norway. Together we provide a complete service by creating and then marketing their services to the best of our abilities.
What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?
Our partners and clients are extremely thankful for our services. They are often at a stand-still when we meet them, not being able to find the right resources to create their software vision. They also often have too many ideas, and are not sure where to focus their time and when. This is our expertise, so when we join the team, we can steer them in the right direction and help them find the right users and clients for their product. It often creates a long-term partnership with our clients.
How has your life changed because of your venture?
I am a free woman, where I focus my attention on projects that I truly want to succeed! Its extremely rewarding to be in a position where I can make a difference for the people I work with, and see amazing products come to market due to my efforts. I am free to work when I want and from where I want. Which makes my everyday professional life a dance rather than feeling like hard work. It’s truly a pleasure to get up in the morning doing what I do.
The best reward for me is being able to help others in my network without expecting anything back from them other than their dedication to their own success. It’s a pleasure to see and help people grow into becoming who they envision themselves to be. This also helps me focus and be strong as a woman, constantly seeing that the only thing stopping us from reaching our potential, is the effort we put into it. The harder we work to achieve our dreams, the quicker we reach that goal.
