What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.

I was always a creative child. My dream job as a child was to be a singer and I aspired to be like Mariah Carey. As a teenager, I fell in love with acting and started pursuing an acting career in my early adult life. After having my first son, I realized I wanted something where I could be home with him, and wanted to venture into entrepreneurship. I tried other things like drop shipping, affiliate marketing, etc. I wanted something that would bring more meaning to my life. When I discovered copywriting, this was it for me.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”

I’ve thought about entrepreneurship for a long time before I started my business. I just always knew I didn’t want to work for anyone else, and wanted to create my own thing. I got my marketing degree while pursuing my acting career, and when I looked into marketing careers, copywriting definitely stood out to me. I’ve always loved to write. Then I soon discovered a course that teaches you everything you need to know about not just copywriting, but also building your own copywriting business. I knew it was for me right away because of how excited I felt thinking about it. I went for it, and the rest is history.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

Bring more women into entrepreneurship. Women, and especially moms have a huge responsibility with family life, and if more women could make their own schedule while creating income to help provide for their family, there would be less stress in the households.

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?

It’s certainly growing. You see it everywhere. We’re miles ahead of where we were even 30 years ago. So, it’s heading in the right direction.

What’s the most important thing you have learned in your personal life and professional journey? What is your personal motto in life?

I don’t really have a motto. Maybe I should come up with one. The most important thing I have learned is that you need to have balance. If your personal life is not balanced with your professional life, you won’t feel aligned. At least this is true for me.

With your grit and determination, you are making a considerable impact, breaking through, and serving as role models for many budding entrepreneurs. What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

If you feel the passion inside of you, listen to that passion. It won’t go away. Remember that failure is a part of success. If you fail at something, you’re one step closer to succeeding.
