What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
I grew up in two households. One in a small town another on a beautiful farm. I dreamed since I was a child of leaving home and exploring Mother Earth and all she has to offer. To fund that move I went into the service industry and climbed my way up the corporate ladder in order to move into a bigger city to explore and find myself. My role models have always been artists in writing and music. I’ve been curious and captivated by their process since I was a child. I left the corporate world with burn out in my mind and soul and had to rebuild who I was and not what others told me I was or needed to be. I have settled into my Podcast life and course studies to propel me in a positive direction in my life. My biggest goal is to be a role model for my daughter and someone she can be proud to look up to.
Tell us something about your initiative/business. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
My Show Safe Space with Cheyenne is a digital time capsule of information from all walks of life for all of us including myself to vicariously peer into the lives of others and see the connection between all of us. I promote stories, businesses, holistic practices and more on the show to inspire others to return back to nature and themselves to find their cures.
While the global pandemic of COVID-19 is associated primarily with adversities, it has also brought about a true boom in startups, with successful entrepreneurship in many countries. The pandemic has impacted all of us in one way or another. Would you like to share your experience on a personal and professional level?
Right when the pandemic started, I was giving birth to my daughter. As the world was shutting down my husband relocated me and my newborn daughter back to my stomping ground to be in the safe haven on my family and mother. The job I had lined up after maternity leave had shut down and we like most everyone in the world did not know what was to come for our future. My husband was deemed an essential worker, so he worked through all of the pandemic. All of my time was devoted to my daughter and keeping my mental and physical health in balance. When I was able to return to my home I continued my studies in Yoga training and caring for my daughter full time.
What has been the response of the users/consumers towards your venture?
I feel blessed to have positive reviews by guests on the show, viewers, and listeners. I consider myself a grassroots creator continuing to learn as I go along this path. As we continue to grow, we plan on releasing a few documentaries down the line to show others the raw and unscripted parts of healing.
How has your life changed because of your initiative/venture?
I feel my life is filled with more optimism and clarity about the future. I am inspired by all the guests who choose to teach and share their true stories in my safe space.
Do you have anyone who is the biggest support system in your life? Please let us know.
My husband and my daughter are my biggest supporters that are closest to me here and my parents back home are always giving me feedback on the episodes they have listened to.
