Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?

I ran my children’s clothing line Yiani wholesaling to shops. I did bookkeeping for our businesses, traded investments properties, customer service roles managing stores, administration roles. We lived in a beautiful waterfront house. Working in Council as administration officer until cancer turned my life upside down. Turned author and speaker.

Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?

Transform Counselling & Coaching is about empowering women to be their best selves.  It’s about teaching women strengths based techniques they can use to change and transform their lives.  Whether it’s managing their stress, anxiety or depression, Finding  clarity, if they are stuck, or feeling overwhelmed with life or a personal crisis.  Sometimes life becomes too difficult and they need help to navigate the difficult emotions.  I help them find solutions to their issues that are present and help them achieve their desired goals, living a happier healthier life with purpose. This has a ripple effect on their relationships, work, health, wellbeing, their life and the community.

What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?

Very positive, the world is in crisis and there are a lot of people struggling right now.  I’ve had a lot of people reach out, I’m working with clients and have lots in the pipeline. I also raise awareness and speak about reducing the stigma for mental health. It’s okay to ask for help, it’s not a weakness to reach out, but a sign of strength and courage.  I’ve spoken at conferences, podcasts, radio, webinars, and other platforms. I was a finalist twice for the Arch Williams Brisbane Speaking convention. I’ve been featured in online magazines. I’ve also been included in the Most Influential Women to follow in 2022 and Top 50 Thought Leaders on Mental Health 2022 by Thinkers 360 B2B.  My poetry has been published in anthology books, online magazines and I’ve won awards. I ‘m the administrator for Australia for Motivational Strips, the world’s largest online writer’s forum.

How has your life changed because of your venture?

I have a whole new story that is unfolding. The seeds have been sown, the knowledge has been gained. Now I’m looking forward to the new chapter of my story, being of service helping women one on one change and transform their lives. I feel blessed and grateful it’s been a long road to get here and now it’s here and I am excited.

We are not defined by the circumstances in our life, rather how we choose to rise above them.
