Julie-Ann Blackmore
Julie-Ann Blackmore is a passionate 54 year old woman who has always lived her life to the best of her abilities, as true to her core values of integrity, trust, truth, and respect as she can and supports others to do the same.
She tells us that, “I believe that anything is possible and if someone else can do it then why not me, if I want to and it suits my needs. I enjoy thinking for myself and am willing to do what it takes, with respect to myself and all, to create positive changes to enrich mine and others lives.”
What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
My early years were very traumatic as my parents and my older female sibling continuously abused me, mentally, physically, emotionally, financially and set me up for outsiders to sexually and mentally abuse me. (In fact this went on until I was 46 yrs old when I had developed myself to a point where I had the strength to see what they were doing and to put a stop to it.)
But as a child I knew early on that I was clever and that I had ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) and I decided that I would make a difference to the world to make it a better place for us all to live in. At that time I didn’t know how or what my intention as a little girl would bring. I was passionate about all matters to do with health and had this deep knowledge that we were creating our own health problems from within. This was the start of my vocational path of researching how we were making ourselves ill. And if I could find out that then I could find out how to stop health problems from reoccurring.
As a teenager I put my theories of cause and effect to the test and realised our minds were creating the internal physical effects not the outside world. I had forgotten my original intention to make a difference to the world and had decided on nursing as my chosen career (aged 10) and worked voluntarily in a care home, and then a hospital and for the British Red Cross, and in businesses to gain as much knowledge and experience as I could before training as a registered general nurse when I was 20.
Even though I had forgotten why, I was always researching, questioning and developing my awareness and working out my own theories to understand more about the relationship between our individual thoughts, collective consciousness and our health.
(I started working for myself as a sole trader in my early thirties, 2001, offering my guidance and healing to others using my ESP, years of knowledge, past training in many alternative health modalities including aromatherapy and holistic massage, spiritual healing, Master of NLP, Life Coaching, Business and Performance Coaching, Hypnotherapy and Timeline Therapy to create outstanding results. Then I started writing to transfer my guidance into self-development books. I wrote 16 books in 2 and a half yrs and I didn’t stop.) I had many interests, including dancing, singing, playing musical instruments, craft working, drawing, reading, sports, nature, science, fashion and my main goal was to always do my best, regardless of what anyone else was doing or thought, because that to me created success. Pre the effects of long term manipulative abuse eventually bedding in and causing doubt and fear in my subconscious mind, I found learning easy and fun, and even though my abusers intention was to stunt my growth they couldn’t completely stop me from getting the support I needed to keep fulfilling my intention to grow. I taught myself whatever I wanted to be able to do practically, if there was no one available to teach me, and I found out about the real world by reading lots of books and meeting the right people who trusted and believed in me. My hobbies and love of developing myself and others, and my undying truth, that one day I would know why I was anxious and in pain all the time and that this would change, kept me focused in following my own path, turbulent at the time as it was.
The voice inside my head guiding, nurturing, motivating and empowering me was my only role model, the woman that I knew I would develop into, the future me. My inspiration was always taken from seeing what problems and solutions existed in people’s bodies, heads, consciousness and life’s and this fuelled my passion to find new ways to end the problems rather than keep on treating them and therefore bring the results we collectively want, a more humane and healthy world for us all to thrive in.
Tell us something about your initiative/business or current role. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
My current business, How To Be You Ltd, has developed from over 4 decades of me working, behind the scenes, on a small scale with 1000’s of others to create positive changes to their health, businesses, awareness and lives. As well as from completing my original research on how we can get rid of all diseases from within and pioneering new ways of preventing further issues from reoccurring.
Through my company I offer a broad range of self-development products and services that are tailor-made to suit each individual’s needs. Using my unique ability to know how each person thinks and what their ‘hidden’ intentions are, I offer the best I can in self-development.

What has been the response of the users/consumers towards your venture?
Throughout most of my life, everyone who I’ve worked with has been amazed by the results that my work has brought. Whether that be in a one-one session, reading a chapter or the whole of one of my books or as part of my group work. And they have all come back for more to take them to the next level of their self-development. Through my depth of awareness in creating equality I have been recruited as Regional Chair of Bath and North East Somerset, UK for the G100 Wing of Oneness and Wisdom.
Do you have anyone who is the biggest support system in your life? Please let us know.
Throughout my life I have connected to the right people, of any gender, that have been able to support me in my continuing intention to develop myself and others. No one person stands out as being my biggest support but many people have journeyed alongside me on their own journeys of growth. Sometimes our connection was brief and other times it lasted for longer periods. I call this the dance of life. So, in conclusion my intention to always be supported and support others has been my biggest support system in my life and will continue to be.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity? OR Share a motivational message for the audience/women who are reading this.
I would like to see a world where everyone feels and knows they are safe. Where we can all live harmoniously, peacefully and with equal respect for ourselves and others.
Through expanding our self-awareness and development of our own self-worth, self-respect we can individually, and then together, one-day, completely eradicate the destructive human food chain of inequality. This pernicious and cancerous weed bedded in the collective consciousness has been recreated over and over in the minds (and bodies) of many, many generations creating poverty, abuse, wars, other crimes, bullying and other more mild forms of disrespect. And this destructive weed of worthlessness, or of having less worth, feeling not good enough, is also the root cause of mental, physical, emotional and financial health problems. If we want to develop and therefore positively change the world then we have to develop and change our own mind’s first.
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
I believe that everyone is equal in value/worth, regardless of anything else. If a woman has the strength, skills and capabilities to lead then it is important that they walk their talk and create the changes that they want to see inside themselves and in all areas of life, not only in the workplace.
