What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
Before I was seven years old I had lived in a house truck, on a commune, in France, in New Zealand, in Ireland, and several homes in England. I had been bathed in a sink, and had a pet goose called Lucy. My parents gifted me with a curiosity for the world. They were ahead of their time in many ways. I had an unusual childhood, with exposure to so many things that are now widely accepted with merit that then, were weird and unheard of. I had access to spirituality, philosophy, healing modalities, esoteric tools and open minded elders who ‘got it’ – while all I wanted was normal. My first career was as a Freelance TV & Film Production Buyer, Stylist, and Project / Event Manager. I worked hard and played harder. I suffered from burnout at the end of every job. My life was a roller coaster of working til I collapsed and then ‘retreating’ around the world. I worked hard for my career and got to the top of my game, what I thought I wanted; money, status, some creativity and abject freedom; but it wasn’t enough.
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”
I left the TV industry and started my first business MY GIRL FRIDAY on the idea that I was surrounded by cash rich, time poor people who needed and wanted personalised support that they could trust. That led to being THE ENTREPRENEUR ENABLER and then in time a coach and facilitator, an artist and a mystic under my own name.
Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?
I help awesome weirdos; neurospicy, creatives, seekers, healers, space holders & personal development veterans take their unique magic to the next level by teaching them what to trust & what to tune out. Taking them ‘From Misfit To Maven’, by blending Embodied Human Design, Multiple Brain Integration Technique, Tantric Numerology, Esoteric Astrology, Shadow work, and a range of other Somatic & intuitive tools. The journey is about them coming home to their wildest, truest essential self and becoming full of themselves (rather than everyone else). I facilitate initiation so that the leaders of tomorrow become bolder, more playful & more courageous. So that they self-actualise and fulfill their true potential while being fully resourced and leading with the kind of intimacy that will change the world.
Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?
In 2014 I certified as personal performance, life and business coach with The Coaching Academy and published my first book ‘Misfit to Maven’ In 2018 I qualified as an mBit coach and won International Coach of the Year as awarded by The Coaching Academy. In 2019 I will be certified as a mBit Mastercoach.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
I desire to make a significant impact in healing trauma so that our children and children’s children are able to live a life where intimacy (being cherished and respected) is normal and being deeply resourced is available for everyone. Where nobody believes that their worth is based on their bodies appearance or their productivity but know how worthy they are and offer their creativity and genius from a place of overflow, service and satisfaction. I want people to stop having to bend or break themselves in order to survive and get their needs met. Each human is uniquely magical and has so much to offer just by being themselves. A world full of people who are ‘full of themselves’ and fascinated by each other would be SO cool! I want us all to work less and play more. Be responsible AND and have fun.
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
We need equity over equality, it isn’t about being the same as men or emulating them, what the world needs is women who proudly model female leadership, feminine traits, and eros. A world where belonging, nurture, nourishment, care, creativity, diffuse thinking, inquiry are all valued as highly and on a par with the more masculine traits that stem from logic will only happen when we choose to value them ourselves.
What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?
Be yourself, everyone else is already taken, who you BE is just as important if not more so than what you DO. Focus on your values and your senses, your intuition and your inner knowing! Stay wild, stay true, be more you!
