Breeda Bermingham is a Menopause Educator, Best selling Author, Researcher, Social Entrepreneur, and an Advocate. She has contributed to the Women’s Health Task Force in the Department of Health Ireland that resulted in a nationwide awareness and education campaign on menopause. The 1st in the world!
She sees menopause as a time of opportunities, second chances, access to deep creativity and courage. She also feels that innate LEADERSHIP is accessible to women at this life stage.
Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?
I am a former Midwife and Public Health Nurse I have worked with women for years across the socio economic divide. Also have worked in hospitals and in the community. I am a mother of 4.I took 10 years out of the workplace after our 4th was born. I returned to full time education in 2015 completing a psychology degree in 2018 and a sociology masters in 2020.My research interest is in Midlife women and menopause.
Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
The Midlife Women Rock Project and Cafes educate, support and empower women to positively and pro actively manage their menopause years their way.
What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?
I am still in contact with some of the women who joined me in 2019.Life changing and transformative are two words I hear often from women I have worked with. The Midlife Women Rock Cafes have been awarded an impact Ireland award and have also been recently shortlisted for a “LIFT IRELAND” award.
How has your life changed because of your venture?
I have personally become more courageous and confident since starting this project.

Knowledge and education is powerful around Perimenopause and Menopause. It helps raise women up!
